RD 14 Norwood Vs Sturt 14/7/18

Post by SABRE »

Peter Motley Oval.
Reserves - 11.00am
League - 1.40pm

What a massive weekend with 1st playing 3rd and 2nd playing 4th!
Now we should get to see 'Who's up who, and who's paying the rent .'
Just when Sturt have lost key forwards with 'hammies', Norwood could get quite a few players back,
including a couple of handy forwards.
From the SANFL injuries site:

Sturt
Shane McAdam Hamstring 2-3 weeks
Rory Taggert Hamstring 3-4 weeks
Byron Sumner hamstring 1 -2 weeks

Norwood
Surman, Luke Elbow Test
Phillips, Simon Ankle Test
Jefferies, Ben Knee Test
Pascoe, Lachlan Knee Test

I'm sure Sturt have the depth to cover missing players, but either way, there should be no excuses for the 'Leggy Boys'.
Big game! Can't wait!
:D
Luv,
Sabre.

... and only half a game seperating 3rd from top, then a further game to fourth without percentage being a factor.

There's a lot riding on this weekend.
I'm gonna sit back, crack the top off a Pale Ale, and watch the Double Blues prevail

Sturt could replace its hamstrung forwards with a BankSA Rookie against Norwood on Saturday.

Hahndorf FC product Adam Trenorden (19, 177cm and 70kg) could make his Macca’s League debut after being listed on the extended interchange bench.

He has been joined in the Double Blues’ 23-man squad by McDonald’s SA U18 forward Hugo Munn and premiership defenders Byron Sumner and Henry Carey.

Clever forwards Shane McAdam and Rory Taggert injured their hamstrings in the second term against North in Round 13.

McAdam is expected to miss at least three weeks while Taggert could be sidelined for as many as six.

We have played well at times but need a bit more composure infront of the sticks. A couple of times Sturt have looked like they could turn it on and power away

Shame the umps have started having an impact on a good physical game .. 2 of Sturts last 3 goals from frees, that one ridiculously soft and inconsistent
