That tips the balance if the best player in the contest withdraws.
Advantage Dogs.
Going by a few doomsayers on here, it might cut the Centrals deficit by a few goals…
Plenty of doomsayers from all teams...Its been a tough week. I even heard Bay supporters say they wouldn't make the Gf (which would be contested by sturt and the Dogs)... wow, that took first prize in exaggerated doomsaying huh?
That was the worst half of footy I've seen in a long time. Only 8 inside 50s for the half Disposal has been awful and no accountability at all. Sturt just working harder when they have the footy.
False horizon with 5 wins on the trot, but all against the bottom five teams. With the list we have, we are not a top 3 side.
Sturt looked organised, play the big ground well, finding space.
Credit to Montgomerie (excellent today), Posthuma, Iles, Shaw and Co in defence. Had plenty to do, and kept at it all day... this could have been so much worse than it was. Fwds lacked any fight for the contest, and no surprise that Grace played his worst game ever for the Dogs.

Agreed, they kept a classy unit to its lowest score for the season, a score which included at least one act of goalkicking brilliance in a game defining eighth of footy.

"— here I opened wide the door; — Darkness there, and nothing more."
Credit to Sturt who ran harder, worked harder and were tougher around the stoppages as well as being much cleaner with the ball from go to whoah. That was more like 1v10 rather than 1v2. Some of the Dogs fumbling under pressure and lack of chasing was downright embarrassing. Not sure where to from here but there were no excuses today and I suspect some brutal reviewing needs to be done in the lead up to next week.
Players win touches, Teams win matches, Clubs win Premierships.

The only turds there today were one or two of the usual loud-mouthed mental excretions that slop themselves on to the south eastern corner mound each time your blokes play out here.
Play on.

Agreed we have our share of turds and don’t just confine them to Unley
