R5: West v Eagles - Monday 25 April @ Adelaide Oval
WEST
West Adelaide midfielder Travis Tuck is primed to tackle the Eagles in Monday’s ANZAC Day clash at Adelaide Oval.
A late withdrawal in Round 4 due to hamstring tightness, the big-bodied midfielder has been named to start in the centre square from 1.10pm.
Tuck has been joined in the Bloods’ 24-man squad by possible debutant Murray Waite (18, 183cm and 74kg) who was recruited from TAC Cup club Murray Bushrangers.
Waite and fellow wingman Tom Schott have been added to provide leg speed on the wide expanses of Adelaide Oval while Nick Favretto and Jack Agostino have also been listed on the extended interchange bench.
Given the match is on Monday, the Bloods have until Sunday to trim to 23 before making the final cut to 21 players before the bounce.
Star wingman Taite Silverlock and emerging defender Brett Turner have paid the price for their team’s indifferent form after being sent back to the Reserves.

Veteran midfielder Scott Lewis, restricted by a groin ailment during pre-season, continued his impressive return to match fitness by racking up 41 disposals in the Reserves last round.
Lewis has also been joined in the squad by fellow on-ballers Matt Appleton and Joe Sinor, who will also be considered for selection.
Utility Tom Whittlesea and classy goalsneak Nick Yarran have been relegated to the seconds.

It couldn't be lower than second best. At least it features two dinkum teams. I assume it will be telecast?

West still badly under manned. Eagles have 2 or 3 key players back.

I hope we get a decent crowd out there Monday. Its a fitting and traditional way for the SA community to show respect for the day and the SANFL.

Good to see this game played at the traditional ANZAC Day time of 1:10pm.
Seriously though, I hope there's a deserving crowd in attendance, and that Westies can make a game of it.

Doesn't appear that it got either, difficult to see much life on the 'far' side of the ground at all. Replay of the game is currently embedded on the home page of the SANFL site.
I thought I heard the commentators (via Mixlr) say that it is now the worst start to a premiership defence in terms of points conceded, should be on the replay somewhere.
Might it have got a more fitting atmosphere at Richmond?

I don't think so it was embarrassing for all West Adelaide supporters today. We have gone backwards this season and I think we will only go further backwards not sure we can win game this season!

I thought James Boyd was a shoe in for the medal. Petrenko was good but James just had the ball on a string.
