We had a debate about the credibility of our leader (Judd) when the Blues were 'off the rails' in the pre-season. I'd like to know what she thinks of Goodwin as a leader.
Seriously though, Matty must need his head read. WTF's he doing? Vince and JCock should know better.

So in effect they will get paid the same money to do a much easier job with alot less care factor. Money for jam for these blokes.

No, they wont get the same money. They dont get paid for an AFL game if they dont play it.

A suspension from AFL level definately hits them where it hurts.

I don't reckon any of the 3 are guaranteed a spot after suspension either. Even Vince could be out for at least a couple, he has been very poor this year and gone way backwards.
People call for the sacking of the older players, but the reality is they are still doing what would have been expected of them at the start of the year to a certain degree. I don't think Craigy was expecting them to be match winners this year, that mantle was supposed to have been passed to Vince and co. We can all see how that's turned out. More than happy for a few of the young 'guns' to cool their heels in the SANFL and get some perspective back.

Just an after thought, surely most of a players salary would be a retainer, you can't tell me Andy Ottens is getting paid a red cent this year.

Players are basically on a Base Wage then get Match Payments on top of that. All contracts have an "injury clause" written which may pay the players 50% (for example) of their Match Payment.
So whilst these 3 guys will still get paid for playing this weekend in the SANFL, it will not be to the same level as an AFL game as they will not receive the "AFL Match Payment".
Hope that makes sense.
