Zoning, kicking backwards, flooding etc. I went to a game a couple of weeks ago and it was dead set boring,
If we regress much further how long will it be before we have our first nil all draw?

Been saying that for a long time KWF & Sonya, and will add that I prefer to watch SANFL. This is mainly due to the destruction of the game (I prefer) with the rule changes affecting the spectacle and the overwhelming presence umpires inflict on us in AFL.
I change my mind when I see a side like St Kilda or Geelong (on most occasions) opt for only 1 or 2 quick handballs and then kick long to a leading player upfield. The continued insistence by players (coaches instructions ?) to have 8,10, a dozen handballs in an area the size of a mini minor, most of those to flat footed teammates who are often enough in a worse situation pressure wise than the deliverer of the handball, is stupidity and plain bad football and causes uncertainty. FFS how would you like to be a CHF or FF not knowing when your teammate downfield is going to kick it - frustrated I would have thought.

Have heard from many a footy follower that the only rule they want brought in is the call of "playon" if a kick is backwards (in defensive half only) Most (not all) of the new rules are crap.

I watched the replay of the drawn Anzac Day Game from I think 96 what a great spectacle
Fair body contact, no zones one or two quick gives and then to a presenting target.
I think the AFL might have to take a leaf out of our U11,s and stay in your position.
Also the games about scoring I would much rather see a 24.16 to 19.6 scoreline than
11.11 to 7.6

Eski, any comment on Bostons new recruit, Brett Atherton?

For such a hard working club man, with the profile he's got, it's hard to know why the name doesn't ring a bell.

FFS, Bluey!

Davies will train tonight. Should be right for saturday. Reinks is also a big in for us. It'll be a great spectacle under lights although if the weather conditions keep up then Mallee's may have the advantage as the ball will be on the ground a lot. ... although i would still tip us in a close one.

Sorry lads haven't had time to log on much this week. Still celebrating beating Bostons. Just joking, but seriously, wouldn't matter which way they kicked, They didn't want the ball for a start, Honestly the Bostons A grade committee need to have a good long hard look at what they are doing....For a start Tabes and Wyatt were being given a bath by some J Wagner  and Cima, Magic gave Jacko a bath all day, and above all Basco has hardly trained all year and then you throw him in the ruck all day against the two best ruckmen in the league?? Not much to say about Monfries. Easily the most over-rated recruit since i don't know when. Looked like he had skills but was as if he didn't even want to be there? Any thoughts BP?. Onto the mighty cocks, Semmler starred as did Browny on a wing, Both Daniels played great footy, watch out for Ben in the future, looked 1st class, Calvin had the Boston players looking over their shoulders. One interesting observation was Cunnas looked pissed at playing FB

This week

Rangers by 26pts
Roosters by 35pts
Souths by 45pts
TFC.....the club for the future

Defently our coaching staff and thier decisons or should i say lack of decisions cost us greatly! No way wyatt should of been left on cimma for so long or even been on him on the first place, i disagree your views on tabes. thought he did an outstanding job on wagner, only kicks wagner got were from stupid free kicks or when he capitalised on our many mistakes in our backline. Magic has gone up alot in my books, very under-rated chb and can handle a bigger body very well. Basco has been to 90% of our tranings and trained well, his tap work has improved out of sight however he is the softest guy in the competition and would never back back into a contest and take one for the team. Austy hasnt kicked a ball in 12 months so wouldnt critize him too much, it was mostly the coaching that didnt see him get into the game. Semmler is the biggest bludger in the game but will defently make you pay when he gets the ball, Bed Daniels played exceptionally, calvin is the least indimidated player in PLFL and i would have no problems standing him at all. Tasmans look the good this year and link up very well coming out of defense. lets see how long they last this year!
Going to be a tough one this week for us, hulls back in supprisly and out we have jack arbon (broken ribs), dylan coleman, josh and a few more. Fingers crossed we dont get pumped by over 39 points for the sake of my tips [-o<
