They have also made some very poor recruiting decisions eg.paid a fortune for Ohara, Wise, Koops etc at the expense of blooding juniors. What is the point of winning reserves, u19s, u17s premierships if you dont then promote those players through the system. Have a look at how many North born and bred played league last year versus imports. Cant understand the short term mentality which makes a mockery of junior grades being successful. Would have been much better off playing the likes of Mcentee(no league games at all this season- a joke) , Grocke and Weatherley.
Coaching is supposed to be about developing and nurturing not just paying out the most bucks to buy a premiership. Take a leaf out of Centrals and the Eagles.
Become a coach Jarman not a recruiter.
Very Unfair
All clubs have to make decisions on the talent available at the time and if you didnt recruit and fell down the table you would be rated a complete peanut, westies made this decision in 2004 and it set us back a couple of years. Some players like Moritz and co can play and are leaving but this happens at all clubs. Bottom line was Norths were down and out when Jars took over and with help from outsiders and some good business planning are a financial power house now. Apart from Jars , they have a couple of very good men steering the boat in Elliott & Moore.
