Port by 37 points

How did Port go against West Coast at Subi this year?

Lost by 50 points

2008 v WC won by 24 points
2008 v Freo won by 28 points
2007 v Freo won by 16 points
2006 v Freo lost by 79 points
2005 v Freo lost by 35 points
2005 v WC lost by 117 points
2004 v WC won by 3 points
2004 v Freo won by 10 points

So that's 5-4 at Subiaco since 2004 with a couple of bad losses. It's a pretty good record. It's not brilliant. I think the ground suits their running style game plan and they play well there, most times. Not last time ...

Doesn't every team have a "running style game plan"?

The truth is that the Port Adelaide of 2009 is a far cry from some of those previous years. Their two wins there last year were against punching bag sides. One of those punching bags has already swung back and bopped them in the face already this year. Surely they couldn't be tipped with any surety this week.

Mac, it's Freo ...

My confidence is less about Port and how they are travelling and more about Freo and the fact they are playing 400 rookies at the moment

I don't have a crystral ball anymore than you do. It's just how I see it. You want to pick Freo then go for it.

Hopefully burgoyne and ebert arent brought back into the side this week. The side we had last week was the best side weve put together for a while and including a couple of gold pass recipients would only be taking a step backwards imo. They should be dominating in the SANFL before being considered for an AFL return. BTW thnx for the teams thiele. I knew there was a half decent crow supporter somewhere.

The YOYO's in superb consistant form, how lucky they were that Freo took the foot off the pedal in the last qtr to save them from an even more embarrassing result.
Surely Choco went off his head at half time & any side playing for pride & respect would of responded in the right possible way but not the POWER they proved today what RESPECT they have for their coach & that is none.
Very very I.N.S.I.P.I.D Port Power an absolute disgrace.
The board members at Port should grow some balls as they showed none in their decision they made.
The Bombers deserve that 8th spot.

Funny game.

Biggest laugh:

Krakouer lawn-bowling on the boundary.

Surely that was a throw?

Watch 'em beat Carlton next week...

It is laughable that we can still play finals.

Shame on the 8 teams below us.

Why? You can take a lot more positives out of their lists than you can Port.

Todd Goldstein had a good game for the Roos on the weekend giving them another good ruck option to compliment McIntosh and Petrie. Majority of Freo's best were young players i.e. Broughton and Hill, with Pav having a quiet game by his standards.

WTF? Their lists aren't on the cusp of playing Finals....PORT ARE!

Why you ask? Because we are inconsistent and mediocre at very best and there are 8 teams below us. Im not talking about 2010 or 2011 FFS, Im talking about the next 3 weeks of season 2009.

Either your team is one of those 8 below Port and you dont fell willing to have them in your profile or your team is above Port and you're just stirring.

Port have a list that should be playing finals currently, majority of the teams below do not. I don't think they should feel shame for currently being in rebuilding phases and outside the 8. The fact that Port were touted as a top 4 side this year and don't deserve to be in finals but will fall in because of other teams inexperience (Essendon) is laughable.

My team, for the record, is North Melbourne and I will admit we haven't performed as well as we could have this year but at least we had a coach that realised he couldn't take the club to the next level and stepped aside.

We have already knocked you off once this year and lucky for you it seems the round 22 match up should be on the upward swing of the yo-yo so you might be able to square the ledger.
