It was a great grand final one of the best ever but not the Best ever. I still feel that the 1989 grand final still beats it because the 89 grand final had it all a chasing bunch of cats, fights, dipper playing with his broken ribs it makes me wanna watch that grand final again.

yep 89 still in front of the last two IMHO, apart from the tackles, aggro, Yablet putting on a virtuoso performances (how good was that grbp from boundary throw in and then one step bang goal!! in the second quarter), Hawthorn players playing with injuries....The game in 89 had more total points scored than the last two combined.....

It was an attacking goal fest!!!

PS I've heard a copy of Jean's pre-match talk, where he warns Brereton that he will be challenged today and he'll need to stand up today and prove himself.......

89-Monumental GF with the best team of the decade holding out the side with the most individually brilliant footballer of the era having a belter.
06-Other than 89,one of the most gripping final qtr's of a GF anyone has seen.Lead changes,big marks,great goals,an amazing spectacle,and a 1 point GF win,surely the best way to win,and the worst way to lose.
04-Sorry,sentiment cam into it,and to not have this in my list would be foolhardy.Beating a (tired and near flat) outfit that had won 3 flags in a row,and had made that day in September their own,after 3 looong years of dissapointment.What a win.
