Mark Harvey is a courageous "footy club" bloke who hasn't got the brains to give himself a headache.
Gee hardly a group to strike fear into opposition coaches I would not have thought

.They would not even be boot studders at Geelong.
Watched many Freo games this year? Mundy is a very athletic footballer who comes out of contract this year and is rumoured to be a target for Hawthorn. who are hardly looking to rebuild at this point. Hayden was in the final squad and only just missed out on All Australian selection last year. Palmer is the red hot favourite for the NAB Rising Star on the back of being a ball magnet in his first season. Ibbotson has been very impressive in his half a dozen or so games.
I have watched a lot of Freo games this year and this is my take on the four players mentioned.
David Mundy has ZERO awarness and perhiperal vision and is also as slow as a wet week. He'll get picked up by a Vic club but will only thrive in a good team.
Roger Hayden is massively overrated and turns it over often enough to make a Tiger blush. He's also a bit soft IMO.
Palmer has a massive future in the game but he'll fall away towards the end of the season as he is being asked to be a lead midfielder in his first season. It would be a massive effort for him to maintain the standard as the season gets to July and August.
Ibbotson is another promosing youngster who CAN play.
The big problem with Freo is a lack of legspeed. They have been topping up for the last few years and Harvey dropped the ball on discipline early on during his tenure..something he may never recover from. The Dockers signalled that nothing had changed when they made the short sighted decision to omit Palmer and Ibbottson from the round one clash against Collingwood.
