My place of worship putting their happy hour prices up to $9.50.

They can now f*** off, as a family we had 10 entrants in their footy tips, now they have none, every time I am the punter in the punters club I have lasted 4-6 weeks, I would generally spend the day there when it was my turn not any more.

Not long ago they moved our table as they said it imposed the traffic flow into their bistro that barely has 10 patrons and they are only in dining times, we're normally 2-5:30 people so it matters not, and it's no way near the door and there are two other entrances to the dining area.

They don't even have Fox, it was an old person pub that had half decent TAB facilities, now they've movd the table I can't see the screens from where I sit.

Plenty of other better establishments around, they lost a shitload of money with our group relocating.

I have no idea of their intentions, it's in a prime spot to swank it up a bit but they just don't have any direction.

Their food is shit, their chef is a grot and weird AF and the group of locals that used to frequent there every night is diminishing.

I'm not too fussed though, I'll just by a slab from Dan's andf have a punt from home for the same price as 6 pints.

The Seacliff stopped all happy hours a few months ago. Lost half the regulars to the Brighton. They thought with the Espy closed for renovations & more visitors frequenting the pub, that they’d “cash in” over the Christmas period. That they did, but come the winter months those visitors are long gone & the locals who are your bread & butter are now in diminished numbers. Very short sighted management.
On top of that, they’re doing their footy tips on the Pub Plus app this year, bragging that “you don’t even have to come to the pub to put your tips on…”

We have started going to the Brighton a bit, enjoy their front bar/bistro set up and food is solid. We rotate between there, Flaggy & the Duck.

Just dumb. We had well over 100 in the comp last year, 90% of them wouldn’t ordinarily go to the pub on a Wed/Thurs night, but they did because they had to put their tips on. Not many would leave without buying a beer, and who ever stays for only one? Some would end up staying & having tea.
Not now. At a guess less than half have gone in it this year, I know our group of around a dozen, not one of us have gone in it. There’s a real resentment amongst a lot of long time regulars that we’ve been right royally f#cked over by current management. And they don’t care one bit.
