Re: 2026 Adelaide Footy League - Division 1
I'm 99% sure that 25 games was the limit on players regarding APPS points, but worst case scenario, he's a 3, they still have 9 points to play with.
4 for Reynolds, 3 for Smith, 2 to spare

Re: 2026 Adelaide Footy League - Division 1
Alot of people misunderstand the season to season points reduction rule. It states that a player who achieves 20 Matches (without transferring) for the same
Affiliated League Club will reduce one (1) additional point in their third (3) season.
Most decent recruits are 3 pointers so that means they go from 3 to 2 in year 2 and 2 to zero in year 3. Scotty Lycett started as a 5 pointer in 2024. He was 4 points in 2025. So he will be 2 points in 2026.

Joey will still be playing for Districts when not required at the Crom. Looks like they will have a reasonably handy squad.amber_fluid wrote:Forgot Haines was going to the Crowswenchbarwer wrote:I just had a look at that too. They were on 12 in the GF, Lycett (4) would be a zero as he meets the game limit, Haines goes (3), Karpanny becomes 0 and Firns drops to 3. So that 12 becomes a 3.amber_fluid wrote:He’ll be handy in the 2’sbubba love wrote:Luke Reynolds to Districts now
How the hell will they fit him in points wise?
On their socials they've announced two former players, plus Kyan Smith from Porties who would be a 3
Didn’t realise Lycett became a zero pointer either
Both returning players are more than handy so they’ll be hard to beat again in 2026

What's the go with Gray & Lycett at Tyntynder?
I'm assuming they're registered players with them because the AdelFL hasn't started and they can't be game transfers, or whatever it's called.

I was thinking the same thing. Imagine getting two ex-AFL players in and still getting rolled by 50+locky801 wrote:Looking at the scoreline didnt help them muchwenchbarwer wrote:What's the go with Gray & Lycett at Tyntynder?

A little word around that a new coaching appointment in 2026 is only a 50/50 chance, at best, to make it to the end of the season

Well, that didn't last long - https://www.playhq.com/public/profile/5 ... tenant=aflwristwatcher wrote:Rockin Ronny Redford who has been overseeing the Peninsula since Eve Ate the Apple has huge wraps on this kid and how his development is tracking. Once he adjusts to div 1 he will be a real headache for most opposition teams. As a forward you wouldn't mind some of the supply you would get at Districts either.wenchbarwer wrote:Absolutely it will, that's if he plays A grade.amber_fluid wrote:Going to be interesting to see how he goes in Division 1Booney wrote:PDFC is extremely excited to announce the return of 20 year old Byron Pickett Jnr to the football club. After finishing his junior career in U17's at the club, he moved to play senior footy in the Eyre Peninsula Footy League. He has decided to return for season 2026, after he completes a season for Nightcliffe in Darwin League, to where it all started. He amassed kicking 117 goals in 12 games this past season for Western United in the EP league, with a couple of bags of 20.
Byrons ability as a tall, strong marking, sharp shooting forward will be a welcome addition to our current premiership list.
Bit different to the league he played in this year
Get him for zero points as a former junior, worth a throw at the stumps I guess. Hopefully he's learned not to belt blokes off the ball by now.
