Stephen Marshall and his leadership through covid... strong leadership that saw him booted out as he took a back seat.
Chris Kourakis the bit I saw on the news, such a humble person....

Re: The South Australian Political Landscape
City of Port Adelaide Enfield Mayor Claire Boan is running as an Independent for the seat of Port Adelaide that Susan Close will soon vacate.
Could be interesting, bit of a Chem Trail type operator.
I love PAE and, because of this, I’m excited to announce my intention to nominate as an INDEPENDENT for the state seat of Port Adelaide.
As a local, living and working in the area for over 20 years, and representing the community through my role as Councillor and Mayor of the City of PAE for 15 years, I have proven that I have what it takes to represent you in government.
Our community wants to know their government is listening and providing. As an independent, I can challenge the status quo instead of being involved in the party politics, which has led to a lack of support for too many years.
As an independent, I can focus squarely on the real priorities of Port Adelaide.
-Securing local jobs
-Affordable living
-Planning for growth while respecting our heritage
-Looking after our coastal character
An independent approach allows me to continue my genuine consultation with residents and responsiveness to your concerns. In a seat with diverse needs and a strong community identity, Port Adelaide needs representation that listens first, acts independently, and always puts the community ahead of political interests.
In my role as Mayor I have shown I can work constructively with all sides of parliament to deliver practical outcomes. It is now time to take this experience and ensure the Port and Peninsula are no longer forgotten.
I’ll be taking unpaid leave for the period of the election, from late February. In the meantime, I’ll be continuing in my role as Mayor and ensuring the entire PAE community are well represented during this time.

Having been through the nomination process, the nominee is not supposed to be aware they are being proposed.
Considering Rik Morris is the SA "Representative of States and Territories" says it all about the decisions

Re: The South Australian Political Landscape
Labor will win in a landslide regardless, so they don’t need to resort to negative ads directly personally attacking Liberal and former Liberal MPs.
It goes hand in hand with politics unfortunately, but not a fan of it.

I thought the ad was quite smart, it runs in conjunction with their positive ad.

Re: The South Australian Political Landscape
The allure of further taxpayer funding for his lifestyle has Cory Bernardi now prostituting himself to head the One Nation Legislative Council ticket for the upcoming State election.
A man of no morals or shame leading ONP in SA, a totally predictable event.
Is jostling with Nicolle Flint to earn the record for the most number of rejections by the Electorate.

Re: The South Australian Political Landscape
I'm surprised that even Pauline is as foolish as to select such an obvious flight risk as Bernardi, who quit the Liberals 7 months into his 6-year term as a senator.
Terms in the Legislative Council are 8 years. How many should we expect him to stick around for? 1 year? 2 years?

Hanson, Joyce, Bernardi, Antic....they really have an uncanny ability to bring together the dumbest of operators.

Re: The South Australian Political Landscape
Hanson is unparalleled in her ignorance, racism and lack of intelligence, but Joyce isn’t too far behind, and still has enough neurons to know how to bleed the taxpayer to sustain a very comfortable living, hence why he has jumped to ONP to try to stay on the teat.
Even Hanson herself was able to use election funding laws to extract taxpayer funding to her benefit (although she did have, shall we say, some legal issues for a time) even when not elected or had a poor election result.
Bernardi is more ignorant and racist than stupid, and knows exactly what’s he’s doing.
Antic is potentially the most dangerous of the lot, he’s a big player behind the scenes and is Tony Abbott like in his will to make the Liberals go as hard right as possible.
That said, none of them has done anything illegal (Hanson was convicted of electorate fraud and gaoled, but those convictions were later overturned), and whilst they are all repulsive to me, they are well with their rights to put themselves up for election and people are free to support and vote for them as they wish.

Maybe. But I think this lot would give them a run for their money.

Re: The South Australian Political Landscape
Lovely day and whilst out and about I had a spare 10 minutes so I thought I'd pop in and see what all the fuss was about. Old Cory was firing up a remarkably diverse crowd at Montefiore Hill. I respectfully chose not to accept the offer of a hat or t-shirt on this particular occasion.
