Some of the australia day awards

Stephen Marshall and his leadership through covid... strong leadership that saw him booted out as he took a back seat.

Chris Kourakis the bit I saw on the news, such a humble person....
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!

City of Port Adelaide Enfield Mayor Claire Boan is running as an Independent for the seat of Port Adelaide that Susan Close will soon vacate.

Could be interesting, bit of a Chem Trail type operator.

I love PAE and, because of this, I’m excited to announce my intention to nominate as an INDEPENDENT for the state seat of Port Adelaide.

As a local, living and working in the area for over 20 years, and representing the community through my role as Councillor and Mayor of the City of PAE for 15 years, I have proven that I have what it takes to represent you in government.

Our community wants to know their government is listening and providing. As an independent, I can challenge the status quo instead of being involved in the party politics, which has led to a lack of support for too many years.

As an independent, I can focus squarely on the real priorities of Port Adelaide.

-Securing local jobs
-Affordable living
-Planning for growth while respecting our heritage
-Looking after our coastal character

An independent approach allows me to continue my genuine consultation with residents and responsiveness to your concerns. In a seat with diverse needs and a strong community identity, Port Adelaide needs representation that listens first, acts independently, and always puts the community ahead of political interests.

In my role as Mayor I have shown I can work constructively with all sides of parliament to deliver practical outcomes. It is now time to take this experience and ensure the Port and Peninsula are no longer forgotten.

I’ll be taking unpaid leave for the period of the election, from late February. In the meantime, I’ll be continuing in my role as Mayor and ensuring the entire PAE community are well represented during this time.

If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Having been through the nomination process, the nominee is not supposed to be aware they are being proposed.

Considering Rik Morris is the SA "Representative of States and Territories" says it all about the decisions
