Was supposed to be heading far N/W NSW next week for work, decided to put it on hold and risk Adelaides milder weather and my pool

Yep. Kids (especially mine) think that 35 is stiflingly hot. Cos everything above that temperatures means things are called off.

This is number one of my playlist of "Back in my day", no such thing as too hot to play.

Used to double up, cricket then baseball, in country NSW in summer. I can't even remember shades getting put up for us!

I'm a bit the same, I have 3 split systems, I put one on at each end of the house and let them purr while I'm home, I like to feel comfortable at home and comfortable means not sweating while I'm just sitting there.

I’m definitely much softer these days, although not a marshmallow just yet.

I set the a/c to 27 in summer because when I got my solar panels installed years ago I geeked out and tested how much juice every major appliance was consuming, including the main house ducted a/c and the wall split in the family room. I worked out at the time that reducing the a/c to anything below 27 delivered faark all more cooling, but significantly increased power consumption. :-B

I also don’t mind working in hot weather, as was the case on Sunday when I was in the roof space for half the day investigating the ducted a/c fault I had. The roof space can be 20-30 degrees hotter than in the house, so it would have been at least 50-55 degrees up there and I was fine.
Dunno, I’m just an idiot.
