I actually enjoyed the banter this week from young Jack. Added a bit to the game, I reckon it was good.

If you mouth off and back it up great. If not, well then you need to cop it. But let's not all melt down, it's good to get a bit of feeling out there.
If Jase McCartney copped $20k for having Pappley walk into him, Ken will certainly be lighter in the wallet after that effort.

And yes, Agree, I don’t mind a bit of banter and Ginni is good for the game.
Had Ken engaged before the game I’d have seen it as more banter, but waiting til you know the result before being willing to say something comes across more as being a bad winner rather than just banter.

I’ve got no issues with people being happy after a win, but when the carry on goes too far, all of a sudden it looks like you were surprised you won.

With all that said, I doubt Ginni is overly concerned, after all, he’s still got more flags than Ken.
Ginnivan is fantastic for the game. We have so many robots in the media is great that there's a bit of personality floating around.

The AFL will fine Ken and say how it was a bad look and there will be plenty out there Hodge, Lewis as examples already that will have an issue about this.

But do we only want robots involved either the game and fronting to the media?
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

Ken mouthed off first but Silicy appeared the aggressor of the two.
Yes he was sticking up for Jack but if Ken gets fined so should Sicily.

A bit of passion after the game is good.
I didn’t mind it.
No one got hurt.
Play on

I didn't see the game last night, looks like it was close all night so must have been a good one... shame the only thing i've seen after is the after match stuff.

I'm a little bit old school and boring when it comes to the footy stuff sometimes. I prefer to let the footy do the talking, rather than what someone says or does outside of that. Kinda, don't poke the footy gods sort of mentality, just do your job.

Ginny's comments earlier in the week didn't bother me, but I didn't think they were very clever (I'm not sure he is though). I'm not sure what positive purpose they could have, but they could (and end up did), bring on a negative response if you lose or you, yourself don't play well. By reports he didnt play that well and his team loses... so he just looks kinda silly because he put an unnecessary target on his back.

Then Ken chooses the moment after the game to respond.... again, I'm not sure what was to gain by doing that. Ken and the footy gods in finals or big moments tend not to have the best relationship. I'm surprised someone so experienced would feel the need to test them.... and like Ginny, put an unnecessary (and extra) target on his back for the next game.

Instead of Ken being questioned after the game about how his team responded to last weeks effort etc... he has to defend something a bit dumb that he said / did post game. I'm not sure how clever he is either. He has a little form in this area.

Ginnivan lit the fire and Hinkley reminded him sometimes you'll get burnt.

Play on.

Few blokes who are regularly questioned stood up, none more than Jones. Thought he was really solid all night.

A bit cringe from Hinkley. Sicily as usual over reacts. Ginnivin invited it so has to take it the other way - and might have copped it on the chin for all we know, seems Sicily was the one who arced up.

Nice .... I assume you rate Malthouse, Sheedy and Clarkson the same. Kenny's in good company.

Was going to make the comparison with Roger James in the first quarter or the 04 prelim. If he wasn't there they get blown out of the water, and then the bigger names take over the limelight. Two little incidents, Jones twice intercepted the play just before half time - on the Hawthorn HF boundary line and then in the centre - which led to two Port goals, a nine point lead and always had the slight upperhand in the second half. He doesn't do those and it's even at half time or potentially Hawthorn score and they're a goal-and-a half up.

FWIW, I thought his "sling" tackle was okay and a bad decision, but the next one, border line but can see why the umpire saw enough to pay a free.

The disappointing thing about the Hinkley incident, and we've seen plenty of these at breaks, but being a few minutes after the game when all the players were gathering to salute a very good servant of the game, someone in his position should be able to show more dignity.

Sicilly should've won the game for them so of course he's going to be pretty pissed off.
Win gracefully Ken, that was pretty ordinary.

The best sledges are....say your piece then turn your back and say no more.
Something like... enjoy mad Monday Jack, or you won't forget us again now will ya.
However, considering they should've lost I wouldn't be saying Jack shit.
