If you are the opposition you are sending your dirtiest scrapper you have in your side to him to throw him off his game

Fined $1875 but can be reduced to $1250 with an early guilty plea. Will prove how deliberate it was if he does plead guilty which is a real bad look for him.

AFL should have made him face the media yesterday and publicly apologise, if he refused then put him into HIA protocols

This is one thing the NRL does really well. Any head knock and you are sent off for HIA. They also have a panel watching all footage on delay and at different angles and if they spot a head knock then they notify the referee and the club medicos and that player comes off. May would’ve been sent from the field for assessment if he did that in the NRL

Thats 100% right as well.

As we now know concussion doesn't have to be from the contact of head hitting ground and often is from the whiplash motion causing the brain to jerk. So whilst he didn't smash the ground that's not to say he didn't feel dizzy, light headed or ache from the tackle and potentially a concussion.

In saying that 'clearly, he was faking looking for a free'

Like others have said if he had gone into HIA he would think twice about faking it next time.
