North were absolute morals in good conditions, rain early made it a slog and kept it close.

If only it was that last year!
That weather condition could have suited the Legs as well. The margin could have been different for either team. No guarantee that North would have won if the weather conditions was different.
All I know is that Norwood officials were praying for rain. They were very worried about North's speed in the dry, and became much more confident when the rains came. Even at the start of the game North looked in control whilst it was dry.
Nothing anyone can do about the weather, just try and adjust your game.

A lot of people thought that NOrth were Morals last year, just as they thought Glenelg were in 2021 and Norwood in 2018. The Morals don't always win.

I think he was saying we don't have morals after the 19th man incident mate.

Eagles won the 2nd Semi in 2021, we had to go through a prelim. No way we were morals, just as we aren't this Sunday.

Case in point, Norwood got belted by the Crowserves in the Qualifying Final on a dry deck, whereas it rained in the Prelim when they played again & the result was reversed. There’s no doubt the heavier conditions suited Norwood.

Glenelg were expected to be the comfortable winners in 1975. But then, not-one expected Freddy Phillis to kick 0.6
he also kicked a couple out on the full, umpire mead absolutely crucified us which didnt help

still hurting if you cant notice, what makes it worse is that mike poulter admitted to me that he ran the ball over the line in the last qtr as well which the blind goal umpire gave as a goal, ffs..............

Coming from the mob who had a bloke given a 4 match suspension that gave rise to the whole issue, he has a hide to question North's morals, not to mention Salary Cap Cheats.
An Eagles assistant coach apologised to me for their behaviour. He was much more angry at Sharrad than any 19th man on the field. I explained that the whole saga had nothing to do with me.
I am still amazed that when Norwood had 19 men on the field in the 1982 Second Semi Final, the furore lasted 2 days until John Cahill said he would hate to win a game that way, yet sections of the Eagles still raise the subject.

Glenelg will be the shortest price favorite to win a Grand Final.
Bays by 10 goals.

Doesn’t mean anything at the end of the day. Bays certainly go in favourites but will be a lot closer than what people think.

Had Napoleon won the Battle of Waterloo, last year's GF result would have been entirely different.

Crikey I only mentioned it because I thought I might have got a nice sun tan if it was the sunny and 27 last year!
Not much to debate!
PS If Napolean had won at Waterloo Abba probably wouldn't have won Eurovision and become big!

Re: 2023 Grand Final, Glenelg v Sturt
Glenelg have a powerful fwd line and should be too strong. However no Club has struggled in the last game of the year as much as the Bays. Overall success rate around 25%.
Wouldn't begrudge them their second premiership in 35 years.
Hats off to both teams. Strength in all grades this year. Sturt playing off in all 4 GFs is impressive

If the American colonists lost the war of independence and remained a British colony, last year's GF probably would never had been played.
