You all get asked basically the same questions which are fairly basic.
One guy got tongue tied, he was my borderline selection ranking above.

At a conference recently I had to be on stage as part of a Q&A panel, my boss gave the best advice from his experience - make sure you walk up on stage last then you will hear all of the other answers before they get to you!mighty_tiger_79 wrote:yep, very unusual but I didnt go first so I was able to pick up on some of the buzz words etc and implement them into some responsesDutchy wrote:So you get to hear everyone else's responses? Re: Things that make you laugh
Had someone walk past my office other day and then poke their head in and say "Hey mate, what you been up to?"
I looked up and thought it was one of our suppliers that I know externally and haven't seen in a while so I replied "Yeah, f*** all".
He then had a laugh and entered my office to this point I realised it was a bloke from Head Office who rolls out special projects around the country and I'm the guinea pig to trial this new one.
I was pretty embarrassed once the penny dropped as I tried to regain some dignity to try and sound intelligent, I've worked with him previously and I'm usually pretty good at adapting my persona to suit the audience.
It chewed at me for a couple of days so I fessed up about the mistaken identity this morning and apologised, he was pretty cool about it.
I think I will keep my glasses on during the day, a couple of my colleagues could see the resemblance.

Just wanted to reach out and apolgise for answering truthfully the other day.
To be honest, I thought you were someone else.
Next time I'll make sure to answer dishonestly and make you think I work harder than I do.
Anyway, I best get back to it, you know, being flat out and all.
Thanks

It was the language I used for someone who I am usually very reserved to was my concern. Your take sounds better thoughTrader wrote:Hey Boss,Lightning McQueen wrote:It chewed at me for a couple of days so I fessed up about the mistaken identity this morning and apologised, he was pretty cool about it.

Re: Things that make you laugh
I have a TV on my wall in my office that tracks everything in our factory.
I was messing around with it to see if it picked up Netflix, I was able to log in and then seen my boss approaching my office.
I then tried to find the button to get back on to the HDMI channel but had no idea, he walked in and seen it then said "That's bullshit, the wifi isn't strong enough in my office to pick this up".
I had to get my daughter to run through the buttons for me

I was surprised he was still here, on Fridays he usually rocks up late and then makes up for it by leaving early.amber_fluid wrote:Rookie mistakeLightning McQueen wrote:I have a TV on my wall in my office that tracks everything in our factory.

Seeing Brad Hodge sitting on 5 cushions on the floor in a corner of Target doing a radio interview. I don’t think he knew how loud he was.

Re: Things that make you laugh
Dude in a trade van driving in the right lane doing 77 in the 90 zone on Port Wakefield Road, luckily the car next to him was doing probably so a gap was going to emerge at some stage.
I get level with him and he looks across so I thought I'd give him the "you're a dickhead" signal. I get in front of him as we approach a "keep left unless overtaking" sign so I point to it for educational purposes.
No response or such, no biggy, the sealer was though as I eventually had to turn right he beeped me on his way past and stuck his finger up at me, what a legend.
The dickhead had a work van with his company name on the side
