We have been trying to get a genuine ruckman for a while without success.

Definitely need some astute and shrewd recruiting as the reserves are pretty thin for talent and both underage sides are woeful currently so not sure there is much down there than can step up.
I don’t think the league side is that far off TBH and are competitive most weeks

I believe that our number one priority has to be a tall marking forward. This would help straighten up our play and give our mids confidence in delivering the ball forward. Much as I love Aidan, he is more a half-forward flanker than a key forward. Fraser does well when forward, but we really need him all over the ground (a clone or two of him would help ). Two players we lost whom would have been handy were Daniel Menzel and Connor McLean. At Norwood, Conner has proven to be a better player than we seemed to give him credit for. Maybe we didn't manage him well?

The return of Marcus Barreau next year will be really useful, as will a full pre-season for Aaron Nietschke. I also hope that Hosko decides to go around at least one more time.

I wonder if Isaya McKenzie may be interested in returning? Not sure how enjoyable it would be having to play community football as much as he does as part of the Crows setup.

Agree on current form we are better than that but not sure the ladder lies.....our issue for a few years now has not been how good we can play its those stretches of real poor form we seem to have every year.

The one blessing though this year is we seem to be ending the season playing well, that cant be said in other years......lets hope the lads don't check out for the last few games.

I wonder how many players live city side/ western suburbs/ eastern suburbs etc.....

Could the club look to train once a week in more of a city location...I imagine a lot of footy clubs would have ovals free on Monday night as an example. Would this have an affect if players only had to travel to the beff twice a week for training not three times. How many volunteers/trainers do they need at training and are there any who would be willing to travel into the city once a week to assist with this.

If this is going to be an ongoing issue I think we need to look outside the square a bit more. Albeit I cant see the big deal with a bit of travelling for training....shit we travel 45 minutes regularly to go from Spalding to Redhill and most of us are pleb b graders

Izzy didn't want to train 3 nights per week, plus he had a new kid.
Things might have changed, maybe we could have another chat?
BUT is he the sort of player we desperately need right now?
