Dogs 3.6(24)
Eagles 11.4(70)
3/4 time
Better quarter from the dogs but can’t convert and do we love a fumble today.
A pretty soulless performance so far lbh

Re: Round 5 Eagles vs Centrals X-Convenience oval Saturday
I followed central in the bad times and enjoyed the great decade but what has jappened to our club? We are years away from a flag again and I have to question if Thomas is the right man. We change how we looked at things when Stewart came along and now we have gone back to pre Stewart. I have lost some faith I think.

Good to see the follow up effort repeated after a short break. Whilst an ugly win would’ve done, it was good to see the Eagles dominate on the back of last weeks effort. Gives some faith that the Eagles will still be around the mark. Goldsworthy’s best game for about 12 months which was a big positive - I wasn’t sure if the game may have passed him by.

What bubbles
Always felt we were a big chance of heading backwards
Going to be worse when we lose McCormack.

We have already lost him looks like a bad knee injury hope im wrong but didnt look great .As for the game well done to the Eagles we were totally outclassed and scarily i dont think they got out of second gear.

Even though you didnt beat much today because we are ordinary, you are still right up there with Glenelg as you showed last week .

Thought Harry Grant (#10) was one of the Eagles best today, even though he wore a Central’s Guernsey. Kicked out on the full more than once and did some beautiful lace out passes to the Eagles

Re: Round 5 Eagles vs Centrals X-Convenience oval Saturday
Thought the Dogs were a chance with Eagles looking vulnerable for this contest. But they were much more capable of covering their losses than we were, despite having more to cover. Their organisation and efficiency are as good as any team going around.
Positives...
Presburys efforts at half back.
Fraser Fort won plenty of ball and worked his heart out as main ruck after McCormack went down.
Weaver's second half close out on Knight who had dominated up to half time.
Llewellyns effective job on D Menzel
Reeves last quarter up fwd; hopefully a turning point for the young talented recruit.
Early signs are that McCormacks knee injury is not a bad one.

Re: Round 5 Eagles vs Centrals X-Convenience oval Saturday
Really enjoyed the Eagles effort yesterday, although our flow is not yet up to our 2020 & 2021 silkiness, the team's cohesion appears to be improving every game. I always thought our determination and will to win was always very good under previous coaches but under coach Sheedy this has risen to another level.
For Eagle fans, just to highlight the huge turnover of players in the SANFL, the Eagles have played 32 different players in five games but the most interesting fact was that on Saturday only four of the 2020 premiership team played and ten of the 2021 premiership team. Resources are being stretched, but it's good to see up and coming youngster get a go. So far this season nine players new to league football have been blooded by the Eagles.

Re: Round 5 Eagles vs Centrals X-Convenience oval Saturday
Watched both seconds and league on the digital pass
Honestly after the loss to Glenelg by the eagles I thought centrals were a chance .
I guess that loss to Glenelg wasn’t that bad .
Ok the seconds Centrals started with a bang kicked the first 2 goals then it was all the Eagles .
What can I say about the league game part way through the first quarter game over .
Eagles have lost a lot of players even after last weeks game .
But they covered the losses very well
Turned out a great win by the Eagles and a much needed win
Oh I won’t rubbish any dogs players . What I will say the pass has no commentary team for the seconds game . Gives you a chance to hear the crowd lmao doggies fans haven’t changed much over the years verbally lol.
