Tough first round for the Rams, arguably the toughest away trip in the division. Although I'm thinking it could be a difficult year for the rams... would love to see them stay up from the neutral perspective, have had a hell of a run up the divisions!
From a neutrals perspective any game in D1 is tough however if you were going to put up in lights what the toughest away match would be I’d doubt a side that hasn’t made the finals since 2018 would be arguably the toughest. Goodwood at home would be an ask and some of the college sides wouldn’t be fun….
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?
I still think Port District is one of the tougher Away games regardless of where they are on the ladder. Very unique ground the way its tucked away with virtually no open space surrounding the oval plus the inside 50's areas seem to differ in shape from one end to the other. Some of the other grounds are simply tough road trips due to the quality of the opposition.

I think with the players that Districts have picked up this year they will finally play finals this year. They pushed and/or beat the top 3 last year so they’ll be on the money this year.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

Yes, I agree. Odd shaped oval that no matter the personnel they have on the park they play it exceptionally well. They've added some absolute quality to their side this year and will be top five imo.
A lot of the traditionally stronger teams have struggled to win out there, even at the peak of their powers. No guarantees.
Round One eve! Very exciting and glad the footy is back. Looking forward to Division One this year, plenty of player movements with some big names entering the league. Two new clubs, one that has never played Div One before, the other hasn't been in the top division since the 80's, and of course how is COVID going to impact clubs this year... I suspect every club is going to face player shortages at times. Going to be a fascinating season and a competitive one.
