Re: TDK's International Test Cricket Update's
They are known for preparing pitches like that, while green and long on top its rock hard under the surface, god knows how they do it but it always seems to play much better for the bat than it looks. Some punters this morning certainly got sucked in.

No disrespect to Kemar but it’s a sad day when Andy Roberts had less wickets than him. Roberts was a jet.

I saw that earlier today and thought it was interesting so reposted it on here. I never saw Roberts, only seen old videos of him and what I've read he was a very good bowler although looking at his record whilst it's very good it's not an outstanding one comparing it to the records of Marshall, Garner and Holding. perhaps he was better than what his record shows? And should he of played more than 47 tests?

Take in to consideration the other quicks the Windies had at the time, plus throw in World Series Cricket. The Dark Knight wrote:Brodlach wrote:The Dark Knight wrote:NZ v WI, stumps day two.

Roberts and later Malcolm Marshall had a habit of bowling a bouncer which would sit up and say hit me, so naturally a batsman would. More often than not, the next ball would be another bouncer and be about 2 to 3 yards quicker.

I was young but always rated him, had to battle some great bowlers for overs and wickets Bowled quickly

Re: TDK's International Test Cricket Update's
Laid up in bed with a stuffed knee and had the pleasure of watching Williamson's innings, reckon the only ball that didn't hit the middle of the bat was the one that got him out, a fantastic innings
As for the Windies bowlers, used to love watching Andy Roberts, great bowler, had the pleasure of meeting him and having a few beers after one test match in Adelaide, fantastic bloke, very quietly spoken

They have shown some good signs over the last few years but they still produce way to many of these incompetent performances. You can accept losing if there is effort but it feels like once it gets tough some of these guys give up (bar Holder who is a very good player)
