I reckon there is more chance for a few 'officials' to be paid a heap of coin to make up accusations than the media would make that story up from thin air.

What is worse in my eyes is that he is trying to de-legitimise democracy. There will be many in the US who now will never accept the result of an election. This is exactly what Putin wanted when he 'installed' The Donald.

Please, the US election system has been questioned long before 2020.
Don't forget the left were up in arms in 2016 over "Russian interference" following Don's win in 2016.
And didn't George Dubs get in 5 weeks after the election following a court ruling over Florida?

December 1 - All state counts must be finalized, any recounts must be completed. If Trump arses around wasting time in the courts this could be delayed.

December 14 - "Certificates of the vote" go to the President of the Senate. ( the ones who make up the 270 needed to win office ).

If this is delayed so is the joint count of the electoral votes held by the house and senate.

Yes, there was the case in Florida in 2000 where the election result did get decided by the Supreme Court. This was quite different to this year though as the final result was a very tight 537 votes. Donald Trump is taking election results to court where he is trailing by over 40,000 votes. It is also the only time that a candidate has claimed that the whole election is rigged (except for the seats that the Republicans won, of course) and has taken out court action in multiple jurisdictions.
