Uni: Agar? and whoever they pick up from there junior development program  , usually get a couple of those from other clubs.
Prospect: 2 bothers Hatzoglou?

I think Port have picked up a few from Darwin, and also Ben Cooper returned?
West Torrens have Ryan Gibson from NSW.
I also think Wilson was originally Sturt anyway - so they've done a "uni" on Uni

Darling was Adelaide also, so similar to Wilson!

After courting about six clubs, Harvey Brennan ended up at Woodville. They also have that fast bowler Pinson(?) from interstate.

Prospect also have spinner similar to Rashid Khan who bowls really quick, played in Redbacks trial last week.

Will Southern not have a "rest of the World" team this year due to Covid?

Fingers crossed Round 1 isn't a wash out this week. Rain on the way Friday so hopefully the pitches can get prepared and covered in time?

Some interesting selections this week.
Pope, Valente and Davis for their respective clubs. Does that mean they're dropped and out of the "hub"?

...and Winter, McInerney and Tom Cooper. I thought if all of these were in the "hub" they weren't allowed to play for their clubs? Unless there's going to be some major changes to the Redbacks squad?

Rules seemed to have changed since they were announced at the start! Tim Neilson now saying because there are 9 days before next game, they only have to quarantine for 3 days before the game. Not sure where they make up this 3 days rule, but anyway!

Davis released to play (not good for us  ), and Pope also. I can understand giving Head a rest as batted so long, and Nielsen who kept a lot, but the other batters should have been made to play Grade cricket - Hunt, Weatherald, Ferguson. Thought Dizzy was going to get them playing more Grade stuff, and first opportunity doesn't do it. If Head was given out on 99 we would have lost two outrights in a row, and our batsmen have let us down and need all the hits they can get!

The Ellicott family have moved from Prospect to West Torrens, with Sam and Oliver being named in West Torrens 4ths.
Matt Hayden has been named for Sturt's 4ths ;)
On another note, Matt Kelly made a brilliant 93 off 63 balls to help St Ignatius' defeat PAC last night.
Cheers

Just watched a batting master class at Henley Oval from Ryan Gibson. Opened for the Western Eagles didn't open his account until the 19th ball he faced then proceeded to hit 205 off 118 balls, 20 x 4 and 10 x 6. Could be destined for higher honours, we will just have to wait and see.

Goodness me.

A guy scores 200 and you still lose the game.

Must have been some run chase by Sturt.

Bloody hell. A guy scores 200 and another bloke takes 5 for from the same team and they lost? Must have been some great batting by Sturt or average bowling by WT?
