@The Dark Knight, old fella?
I don't work there anymore (although I might be going back). The place might go into lockdown, I will message a few guys and ask.

I thought you'd still be in the know there, cheers.

A bloke form work has to go into quarantine as of Monday as his wife returns from Israel on the weekend.

She is a minister.

It might not be in the part of the company that I'm associated with but I'll try find out.
Edit- It's an office worker at ASC North (Submarines).

I've been self quarantined for a week.

Came back to Adelaide from Sydney on Virgin flight VA412 Saturday 29th Feb, and a young lady (24yrs old) was diagnosed with Coronavirus on the 4th March I think? We got a call Friday night informing me to self isolate until the end of this Saturday.

At least I can work remotely, so have got plenty of work done considering no-one can just walk into my office and talk to me :D

F1’s are strongly considering calling off the Australian GP this morning and major sporting world wide will be either cancelled or played in front of empty stadiums at least in developed countries.

I’d be shocked if heavy international and domestic travel restrictions are not in place inside the next 7-8 days until this whole thing calms down a little. The issue is in Europe the problems have skyrocketed in the last 2 weeks, this week especially.

What will an isolation achieve? it wont disappear because people stay at home, it will just remain dormant a little until everyone starts getting out again.

But that's exactly what they're trying to achieve ... Imagine we have 5000 (just plucking a figure, far less might still cause problems) cases in a month, I highly doubt our hospital system is going to cope with it. Most of the measures being put in place aren't to cure it as such, but slow the rate of sickness so that medical sites and staff can cope with the numbers.

Heard this morning that Wuhan is starting to return to some normality, that's a positive that it may not affect us for months on end as some have predicted.

Services are resuming to normality in China but I still don’t trust them

Melbourne GP off.

My hosting supplier sent me an e-mail earlier today confirming its all off. Not sure where it leaves them and whatever they have paid ou for the corporate facilities.

I was rather hoping they could just move the whole shebang to a restaurant in Southbank, and we keep on eating & drinking, followed by a Sunday night in kittens...... pfft who cares about the cars.

NRL, AFL and others are caught in a tricky situation. Let the games go on because the hype is being beaten up by the media OR risk it and if someone gets sick, they get sued and are outed for being naive in not calling the season to a halt.

Must admit this whole thing hasn't really bothered me previously.. I deliberately avoid watching the news or most western media crap because they irritate me, and I feel like they love to perpetuate fear and hate. I didn't get the toilet paper crap recently or the over reaction.

However it's starting to play on my mind a little.. and I wonder, looking at the toilet paper reaction - how long until people have a complete meltdown and it becomes absolute pandemonium?

Surely the more this is at the forefront of discussions and news, and major organisations begin to cancel events or lock out people then the more fear and anxiety people are going to feel.

Hence why the media needs a swift kick in the balls. This pandemonium has been caused by them
So you've seen everything have you?
Yep
Have you ever seen a man eat his own head?
No

The missus and I went to Semaphore on Sunday and there was some big festival thing going on there, I'm not racist but there were a lot of Asian and Middle-Eastern people there and given that China and Iran have provided us with the most cases I was reluctant to go and see what it was all about.

This is what my daily conversations have pretty much amounted to

"Welcome to You-know where, this is FC"

Customer: Hi, I'm travelling overseas, do you cover coronavirus

Me: No, pretty simple, if its related to corona virus, its not covered

Customer: Oh what abou....

me: Nope

customer: Not even if....

me: NO. Im sorry, I'm not sure how much simpler I can make this for you.
My new Mantra - I am no longer available to things and people that make me feel like shit

I'm referring to people purchasing insurance, or those that purchased it after the cut off
