Adelaide Footy League Division 2 - 2020
You'd have to stick Henley in as faves in any given year in D2 but Gullies have started recruiting early...

Solid effort from Jy Farrar being selected in the draft last night, good luck to him up at the Gold Coast!

Anyone else ever effectively been drafted straight out of the Adelaide Footy League? (Think we can discount his two games for the Ravens)

I reckon Adam Heuskes was drafted straight after a season playing Gepps Cross U17 in the SAAFL. Didn’t play at Norwood that year due to some issues he had there. Things may have changed but I think you still need to be tied to a SANFL club to get drafted even if just a top up player for Port and Crows hence why Farrar was eligible to nominate likewise Hutchesson who was a regular top up for the Crows this year.

Timmy Sumner played in a U23 SAAFL State game in 2011 (as a 16 year old) and played 2 games for WWT in 2012 before being picked up by the Suns

We've had the great pleasure of welcoming Adam a couple of times the last few years to drink with Garry.
He's a pleasure.
Much like when Martin Pike shows up.
To drink.

Who’s running the show at Glenunga? The committee or the players?

Get your hand off it bluedemon. Coach was pushed and it’s been coming for months. Glenunga putting a typical bullshit spin on it

Had to have a giggle at the club citing work and family commitments as the reason for parting ways
Because Footy is taking up so much of his time at the minute
Legit question though, would this type of scenario have something to do with coaches still expecting payment for services rendered despite there possibly not being a season?

Boys, let's not beat around the bush, there is a strong rumor that's been floating around since November last year. Job for playing, type of get-up going on. I know of at least two jobs that were given to players. and brown paper bags- I could be wrong!
The Ship has a number of leaks in it and if I was there I'd be jumping ship too!

Re: Adelaide Footy League Division 2 - 2020
Getting a bloke a job to sign at a Club and "Brown Paper Bag" are two VERY different things, and i'd be careful to not get your wires crossed on those two.
I heard from someone within the Club that training pre-season was barely attended 15-20 on the track and that most of the snr blokes didn't rate JC as a modern day coach.
sounds like a good time to move for both parties.

Dutchy, you've completely missed the point. There is no footy to take him away from family and work.
Get with the program, man
