Yep 1 and a 1/2 1/4's and it wasn't early it was late. Just running into form and the difference between us and eagles last time was one Mrs. Mcgregor who will not be taking part in this match.

Go u mighty c's

According to Ron Fuller today the Eagles will have a peaceful easy feelin' that Ken McGregor and Bernie Vince will be allowed to play finals...in the long run!

Both have qualified so why not .

If we can get within 3 pts at Woodville with 10 goals from umpires decisions we should be right at Adelaide Oval with a half decent umpire.

There's your problem then.

Can you be certain to get a half decent umpire?

Will Vinnie ruggolo get a call up with his 8 goal haul against the number 1 seconds side today.

Definately not, but more of a chance in the finals when there's only 2 league games as opposed to a normal round when there's 4.

Fully agreed there, I don't want the Eagles getting another soft run like they did today, the Bays were robbed!

That would have to be a joke, because while we did receive one more free today, the stat that seems to matter shows that Glenelg got 3 goals to 2 from frees.
Once again, neither side got a better run, and once again, it's a cop out if umpires are blamed for a loss (or in this case, not winning).

Weird, it didn't seem to be a stat that mattered when it was 5 nil the Eagles way against North!

It didn't matter today either, nor on any other day. I say it the "stat that matters" because you think that's the indicator to who gets a better run.

Agreed but 3-2 is minimal where 5 nil is major.
60% versus 100%.

Apologies if the Tigers got a decent run in the first quarter and a half when I wasn't there but from a non biased point of view there was some shockers against them in the last half that would have made 2-4 goals difference.
You seem to have an issue with my assessment of the umpires but you don't seem to have an issue with the poster who brought up the umpiring today namely an Eagles supporter, don't be a hypocrite spelly, I like you too much!

I don't know if mickyj is saying that he thought that both sides had some lucky frees, or just Glenelg.

My view of umpires affecting matches is exactly like Dutchy - just forget about a decision which you thought may have been harsh on your team, because you'll enjoy the game more.

Mickyj is just stating that the three umpires had a bad day with the holding the ball rule .Thats all and at the end of the game the result was ok .Because both teams had lapses in concentration if you had been there in the first quater Eagles goal kicking was shocking:roll: .

What really turned the game .Well IMHO the bays killed the EAGLES at stoppages and midfield bounces before the last quarter.
In the last quarter Ron made a couple of midfield changes like maca and stewart did they help eagles not sure .But what really turned the game in the EAGLES favour IMHO was getting the ball into the forwardline before the bays could flood back.
Thus letting the likes of Schwarze to mark the ball and kick goals. Vince to bounce goals through. Oh and Grocke to play like he was before he got injured up the ground and holding marks.

After north gets their bottoms pumped by the eags this weekend, I look forward to Sturt thrashing them the weekend after and sending them out in straight sets. UNDER ACHIEVERS.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Sturt1 before you start saying things like that .You better watch you own backsides IMHO Glenelg will run your mob off their feet and you'll finish 5th..

Whoever wins out of north and the eagles will want to be fully fit to face the doggies the week after.
And i hope it was noticed that i stood up for North in this post .It will not happen often ,bloody Sturt trolls .

Fingers crossed on the weather front a fine day should see a goal shoot out.
