FFS this is still going ahead. It just shows the invested interests at play.

Done deal mate, development and planning approval fast tracked, $48m of our money being lent to the SMA to fund it, 155 dog boxes and two "King Suites" on the top floor to come.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

Apparently Adelaide Oval just isn't making enough money to make ends meet, perhaps they should stop practically giving away their beer and food.

Their Gravy Train has been derailed and now look like only getting a fixed fee regardless of the loan size.....of course they would be pissed!

Any idea what effect this will have on first time borrowers?

We'll be actively looking in the next few months.

Id imagine less competition, higher interest rates, bigger profits for banks

yep, the good ones will still survive and will be able to justify their fee for service, the poor ones wont survive which is good for everyone.

Very little IMO, still plenty of competition out there.

The owner telling me he had "friends" visiting him here today.

When they rocked up, they are obviously here for business, and said "Nice to meet you" to him.

He always tries to do shady shit, but he's not very good at it.

We have some sheila here that always says "I'll deal with them, they are my sister's neighbour" or some bullshit along them lines, the customer gets here and you can see their eyes rolling as she takes the reigns and steals the show, she turns their half hour get together into a two hour seminar which ends up being all about her, it is excruciating.

Our reps do that all the time.

"Oh, you got that client? I know them through my church groups mixed netball committee. I'll service them." Most of the time they don't know them at all.

It's hilarious to watch the cannibalism. It only happens because they don't actively pursue leads.

He's on annual leave.

He's had a tough year of sitting at his desk 6 hours a day doing "quotes"...

We only have the one that is like that, she hi-jacks every conversation, she yells shit out across the whole office opposed to just ringing someone (wouldn't matter anyway as she is that loud), she even butted in and hi-jacked a conversation in her first week here, one of the ones talking was the national CEO, she didn't know at the time.

She was telling her department colleagues at a Christmas dinner that she feels that she has won everyone over here, except for me and the girl I work with, "I don't know what it is but I just can't crack them two" she said.

We have one lady, mid-60's, lives in Unley, looks down on everyone, swears like a f**kin sailor. Screaming "F*****K!" down the hallway, doesn't use the internal phone system, etc. She'll walk into a room while you're mid conversation with someone and just talk loudly over them. Scoffs loudly if you make her wait.

And she's the only one I like her.

I f**k with her a bit. I tell her to say "please" and tell her to wait her turn, while everyone else just panders to her.

My first year I was a bit timid around her, but after I told her to f**k off the first time, I think we kind of clicked.

Now we have screaming matches and 5 mins later we're all good.

Since the two beagles that lived in our homestead passed away Miss Boon has been keen on getting another dog, so much so that I caved just on a year ago and allowed the unthinkable, a cat joined our family unit. I've never been a cat person, however, Archie is growing on me, literally, I sit anywhere and he's on my lap.

He's also made his way into our room on the foot of our bed at night, that doesn't make me laugh and that's another story, but, Miss Boon constantly sends me rescue dogs to consider.

Right at this point there's no way a new dog would work in our family unit, with 4 people working during the day the dog would be home alone for some considerable hours, if it's hyperactive it would be destroying our recently updated outdoor area or if in the grassed part of the yard digging out to freedom. It just won't work.

Had an exchange with Miss this afternoon.

Images of dog arrives, 2 year old beagle who is "overly excitable" has "bad manners" and needs "lots more training", errr, no.

"Sorry" I say, "It's not going to work for us, you know that"

"It will never work until you're 70 and retired"

"You think you're living with me when I'm 70?!?!?"
