I've always been uneasy about this whole collective puniishment thing. technically thats actually not legal under state and actually any laws... so if they do take it outside of the league would be a good development.

Can understand if it was melee after melee after melee, but the league is putting responsibility of individual acts on a club, it's a bit like jailing a whole family just because one person keeps drink driving....

If he has no record prior, how are the club supposed to control it?

Legal? They agreed to terms laid out in an affiliation agreement - is that not a legal contract? They, and all their members knew what was at stake.

Whilst the punishment as a collective is severe, it's proven in the most part, to have improved behaviours at most clubs.

What happens is SNFC reapply in 2019 and are accepted? Where would they be reinstated?

Would come down to if they are losing the 8 points along with what's been dealt.

I'm hearing that there will be no clearances allowed out of SN, iirc I'm pretty sure this was the same with rosewater as well.

Rosewater was a different situation, it was in the last month of the season after the clearance window had closed. Technically players still have a week to leave SN.

i doubt 70 players could have a restriction on movement/enjoyment/financial put upon them based on the actions of 1 other person, an before the transfer window..

I don't see they can be allowed as they are part of a club that is banned until seasons end.

What happens is SNFC reapply in 2019 and are accepted? Where would they be reinstated?

The only way SN can be let back in for 2019, if the board won't let them back in, is if 35 or more of 69 clubs vote for it (which overrides the exec decision)

Surely common sense prevails and the 70 blokes that have done nothing wrong can play somewhere. Fair enough to not let the blokes play that have lost SN the points, but to stop someone from doing what they love is a bit harsh.

Can see how they can unaffiliate based on a breach of the Affiliation agreement. Can't see how they can restrict player movement - the club's now unaffiliated!

Effective immediately:

a. The SNFC have forfeited the bond of $5000 currently held in The League’s trust.

b. The SNFC in its entirety shall be suspended from the League for the remainder of season 2018.

Point B, can that be taken that all players are suspended, play on words I know but thats how it reads to me
