That was probably on the roof of what was known as the staff car, an old valiant that had a frame rigged up to the roof, painted white with a big blue panther on the side.

Used to get stoned walking anywhere near it

Portland Football Club would like to invite all Past Players to our past players day on Round 10. June 16th.
We will be celebrating our 2008 Div 4 Premiership on the day.
Would be great to see as many old faces as the boys take on Westminster OS.

I remember only 9/10 years ago when we played at smithfield running down the wing/ half forward towards the southern goals being able to smell the weed the locals were smoking :lol:

@zedman used to have a nice relaxed smile on his face by about half time just from sitting in the away teams box thanks to the gentle southerly.

I remember being at a final at Smithfield, when a lady in the car took the handbrake off in her car and rolled down the hill and rolled over her husband :shock: :lol:

i remember playing a final at smithfield in 2007 and it was the best game of AFL i have ever played in as we won and it was a great team performance overall.
Only to be beaten by Fitzroy the following week :(

08, came back from about 5 goals down and managed to level only to lose by 7 points in ET
