Won't get any complaints from me about it.

We had a look at this on the weekend, but stopped watching it after about 10 minutes once we realised we'd already seen the same material when we fortuitously saw Rick Gervais live in Edinburgh last June, and presumably 'Humanity' filmed on the same tour.

Pretty damn funny stuff nevertheless. Worth a look if you like his stuff, and he doesn't hold back.

"The Client List" is (unfortunately depending on what you are looking for :) ) a bit tame. From memory it's like a PG version of an otherwise R rated topic.

For those who like a good sports doco, i stumbled across a baseball 1 last night that's worth a look.

"The battered bastards of baseball" is definitely worth a look. Recounts the story of the Portland Mavericks baseball club paying in the bottom tier of America's pro leagues, privately owned by Bing Russell (Kurt's old man)

Finished this last weekend, pretty good, although the final scene was very cheesy.

So my favourite book of all time is The Alienist by Caleb Carr.

I bought it from Borders in Rundle Mall about 2008. Read it a few times, plus its sequel "Angel of Darkness" once.

Now they've made it into a show on Netflix, and I'm really torn. I want it to be good, and if it's shit, I don't want it to ruin the book for me.

Plus I don't wanna be one of those wankers that tells everyone the books better. Which I will, because of the sub par human I'm turning out to be.

Quite often the show doesn’t stick to the storyline in the book, missing large sections they don’t think viewer worthy and adding stuff in that they think is.

Right off the bat, they introduced a character a very different way from the book. And theres a few big scenes missing that they could probably have fit in a ten part series.

But four episodes in, and Im enjoying it.

We finished The Alienist last night.

The series stayed fairly true to the book. There were extra things thrown in to lengthen the story, but all in all they did a decent job.

The ending wasn't as climactic as the book, but it wrapped everything up nicely.

7/10

Certainly didn’t like the old show. Thought it was rubbish. But watching the new Lost in Space show. 6 episodes in. Really like it.

I revisited Delirious last night.
And, wow.
Murphy had many, many issues with "faggots", didn't he? Was it a self-projection issue?
There were many sections of that show that I felt very uncomfortable with. I last watched it about 10 years ago and had forgotten about his horrible AIDs skit and segments about hitting women.
I know there's room for challenging comedy and I enjoy it, but some of the stuff in Delirious really reflects a different time.

Is a British sitcom Love thy Neighbour available on Netflix. Would be from the early 70’s.

Evil Genius is great.

Follows the death of Brian Wells, a pizza delivery guy who had a collarbomb strapped to him, and was forced to rob a bank.

I watched the four part series in one day.

I don't have Netflix but has anyone seen the new Stephen King movie 1922? It's meant to be pretty twisted.

Mike Patton did the score for the movie and it's coming out on his Ipecac label July 20th.
