Beauty beauty.. my afternoon looks like it just got more interesting - cant wait for the Roys cohorts to get on here!
WC v Roys - the gift that keeps on giving haha!
Maybe that's how some of big signings in the last few weeks have come about. Fitzroy to be very good in 2018 with some key ins to replace the dead wood that left!
Dj definitely on the move back to westies, & the coach never chased him he actually chased dj’s 2 little brothers! doubt he’s getting anything but base rate at westies all he deserves

Burchall - Houghton (A/B grader) Cartwright - Elizabeth (B grader) Cosenza - Central United (A grader) Forbes - Houghton (B grader) Adam Grose - Riverland (A grader) Kratochwil - Houghton (B grader) Leigh - Salis West (B grader) McIntyre - Elizabeth (A grader) Richter - CLG (A grader) Sobels - Salis West (A grader) Dean Steele - Central United (A grader) Wanganeen - Houghton (B grader) Woolley - Seaton (C grader)
Then the rumours that Phil & Nick Hall + Ben Fuller are heading back to Central United, Burns retiring, Brooks + Tippett back to Kilburn and who knows what Ben Grose will do.. a lot of players to replace.
Add Tippett, Brooks, Wright (Kilburn) to that clearance list.. are there any A graders left at Brahma?!

No, this is what happens when you don't have a good junior setup - you have bigger ebbs and flows, and greater player turnover.
Considering you were associated with St Pauls, Mawson Lakes and now Houghton, would've thought you'd understand the difficulties associated with no juniors.

Totally agree with you Bedgie my dear friend. Just commenting on the yearly merry go round at the lodge. Houghton have actually started putting in place for juniors. Have a look at the facebook page for more info mate. But nothing can compare to the junior's at the Farm.

Yearly merry go round is a harsh call - wouldn't think their player turnover last couple of years has been that great.
I did see Houghton were putting juniors in place, it's good to see, hopefully it can take off.
Ingle Farm are a long way off where they need to be for juniors, but are better than some.

My son used to play out there a while ago. And the juniors back then were striving. A lot of grades with a lot of good young talent there too. I reckon in 2 -3 years time you'll have a influx of some really talented young players. Hopefully they don't get tempted ($$$) to play elsewhere.

From the outside it looks like this when a large number of A graders leave. I'm sure everyone has reasons for leaving but why does it always seem to happen at once and not just 2 or 3 players every year or so instead 15 at once?
