Burnley v Huddersfield
Boring as bat shit. Both teams more interested in not losing rather than winning.
Another 2 points dropped at home but when you play 5 4 1 against a team who are also playing 5 4 1 then what can you expect.
Everton next week and hopefully another 3 points against one of the division strugglers

Re: EPL Season 2017/2018
Easy 3 points against Everton and what a difference a week makes
24 passes for the goal, 2nd behind Man City with 26 for the longest passing sequence resulting in a goal. Should shut the "long ball" critics up including me. Looked pretty good on TV too.
Up to 6th and pushing for a CL place

Re: EPL Season 2017/2018
Poor result for the Clarets. Carroll sent off and rightly so, was an angry chap from the the 1st whistle.
And then we were denied a stonewalling penalty in the 1st half which might have made a difference.
Hammers spent the entire 2nd half trying to waste as much time as they could with Hart the biggest culprit and a weak referee that did little to speed things up, made for a poor spectacle.
Having said that, Burnley were poor, very pedestrian, very predictable and didn't make the man advantage work in their favour until the final 10 minutes.
City up next week at the Etihad. A week end in the City and an afternoon in the corps should at least dull the pain..............
...........That the City fans will be feeling after we turn them over 1-0

Re: EPL Season 2017/2018
Absolutely no chance Carroll should have been sent off
His first yellow was not even a free never mind a yellow, possibly the worse yellow card I have ever seen. How is he meant to jump, with his arms tucked into his shorts
I can handle his second yellow......just, in saying that he won both headers clearly and the only reason contact was made was because he was the taller person

Lol, two elbows to the head. Seen plenty of a people jump without giving someone an elbow to the cheekbone/chin

The first one was as natural a body position as you could jump in, look at all 3 players there arm position is identical, only reason Carroll made contact was because he was the highest in the air. You could make a solid case that the player behind Carroll pushes him into the burnley player
If that's a yellow literally every header contest is a yellow card
I can handle the second being a yellow because Carroll jumped towards the Burnley player making contact, and the dumbness of the challenge after the first yellow

True but in any situation an elbow to the head being accidental or not normally follows with a card

Re: EPL Season 2017/2018
So many soccer shows here in Asia, they're all ripping into Mourinho's style.
They've definitely lost a lot of fans here.
Most locals are either Arsenal or Liverpool fans.
I do my bit for the economy only shopping at shops with more Spurs tops than Arsenal.

Re: EPL Season 2017/2018
Fascinating season so far
City look like Brazil vs the local U14's most weeks. (Please Clarets upset them this week!)
Jose, boring as ever
How the heck did chelski lose to palace?!!!
VERY happy with Spurs so far. Lots of injuries, settling into Wembley, and there or thereabouts
Liverpool looked good v Utd on the weekend. Entertaining.
And let's all laugh at Arsenal

Not much wrong with Jose’s style, he is paid to get results. Liverpool’s record at home is pretty good in recent years against top sides. Jose approaches the EPL the same as the CL, try to avoid defeat on the road and crush teams at home. If we had gone to Anfield and left without a point on the weekend I can only imagine what the media would be saying
