I've been round about 4 or 5 times and I rate how it presents, always seems to be in good nick but I agree, the "top" end of the course is a bit ho hum. I think. 1,2,3,4,5 all work well but the stretch from 6,7,8,9,10,11,12 are a bit flat for mine. A bit of "up and back" about that stretch.

Course does present itself in good condition. But agree with the layout. Needs more fairway bunkers and bring hazards into play. They made the 3rd hole easier by cutting back a branch of the big gums a few years back.

@Dutchy you playes there this time last year. Is it an annual hit there?

Yeah agree, the top end of the course and the Western side is all very similar. After the 1st hole only 2 par 5's for the rest of the day. Annual Dad's golf day organised by the school my lad goes to, always put on a good day with beer and burgers post hit.

Flaggy today
91 off the stick resulting in 35pts.
31 putts which included 1 x 3 putt.

Ball striking in general was ok
Putting was quite good despite that 3 putt

Well well well....
Lately ive introduced a horrid hook.....

Anyway today was an interesting bag. 95 off the stick and couldve been low 80s....
Had a super run that included 2 pars and a birdie through 10 holes.
Enter the par 3 - 7th ( my 16th)
Found the sand and struggled to shovel out....ffs

Mt Osmond next week

Just seen they are doing work on the 1st hole so a temp green in play.

Ill be looking for my inner #Mr14...

Got a game lined up at Growling Frog (Google it) for the Sunday after the AFL GF... could be just the tonic if the unthinkable happens, and the cows actually win it! First hit since Thailand. Got a corporate golf day to play later in October up in Sydney, so I'd better sneak a hit in.

Mt Osmond

Windy as all .... so it wasn't condusive to good golf.
An upgrade on the 1st meant we started on the par 3 4th.
A nice 7I that landed about a foot from the hole.... tap in birdie

That was the end of my highlight reel

A final stroll around the Vines

86 off the stick and +1 for the Par.

Generally more consistent with the driver now but my once reliable hybrid draw has now turned into a push...

Had a putting lesson yesterday. Surprisingly it isnt as bad as I thought. But today under the pressure I implemented some of those suggestions and I was consistent with the roll.

A lovely arvo stroll around Thaxted. Didnt keep score but there were a couple of birdie opportunities....
Driver was quite reliable.
Putting wasnt as good as saturday but if my game was on-point in every department I would probably be walking around Jason and Jordan.....

Awesome, pics and a report if you can would be great. I've gotta get down there for a hit!
