Ignorance????? You can't even spell the man's name correctly and your calling me ignorant! There is no way you can compare players of yester year to todays footballers. We all know today's footballers are athlete's first, footballers second. Your would be right if you said players such as Robran and Ebert were had better skills but don't give me that "He's not in their catagory" rubbish. What he bought to the Adelaide Football Club can't just be measured in All-Australian jumpers or Brownlow medals........the same as legands like Sticks, Ebert and Robran. If Robran hadn't had his knee ruined by bloody Lee Mathews on the SCG he would probably be remembered as the greatest of all time. NO ONE sits in that catagory along side him. Roo has EARNT the right to take a high standing along side the games greats IMO. His carear speaks for itself. You could see his club lift every time the man stepped on the park. You could watch the man perform acts of courage and skill only true champions can perform. I'll say it again...........football is a very different sport now to what it was when the likes of Robran and Ebert graced Prospect and Alberton. But give the man his dues and don't underestimate his influence on the Adelaide Football Club and what it means to supporters like me who would drive 7 hours just to watch the man play. Sometimes I reckon people confuse skillfulness with greatness. Another "ridiculous" statement I suppose Rod.
Mate if you're going to open a post siting the spelling of a players name incorrectly is a sign of ignorance it would pay to ensure you get them all correct yourself. Might also pay to use a spell check and grammar check feature for the rest of your post as wellBefore you have a crack at me you were the one who brought spelling into this.
As for the rest, sure he was an important player and yes he is very high on the list of players who have played for the Crows but that does not make him an all time great. For importance to the Crows over the years put it in perspective. They've won two flags. Without McLeod, Jarman or Hart they wouldn't have been able to win either. They won one of them without Ricuttio in the team and had he not played in the other i doubt it would have made any difference. I'd say those 3 have been more valuable to the Adelaide Football Club personally. Just my opinion though and you don't have to agree with it.
Difference is penut I didn't accuse someone of being ignorant. Did I spell PENUT and IGNORANT correctly.

No one is disputing others influence on the AFC such as McLeod, Jarman etc. least of all me. Riccuto put bums on seats at AAMI. I hate watching footy at AAMI.......but I went along to watch Roo's 300th and I'll be there next week (hopefully he plays) What's with you people.

Before accusing others of being ignorant take a good look at the Roo's CV because at the end of your time............that's what people will remember.
Amatures.
