The amount of people I see on a daily basis completely flouting the use of a mobile phone while driving law.

I spend a fair bit of time on the road, I usually have a laptop/compendium/something or other to take with me to meetings or site visits, I'm now in the habit of putting my phone on the back seat with whatever I'm carrying with me when I first get in the car.Phone calls I can still take, messages/emails can wait and I'm not tempted to use/grab it.

What is it with people, is the $380 and 3 demerit points not a big enough deterrent?

My employer has a policy of zero mobile phone use while driving. Despite this we all have our phones connected via Bluetooth.....we just don't answer any numbers we don't know in case it's a big manager
