I haven't followed him that closey in the last year or so- Jay Shannon 26 touches today obviously played well, I see that he has played 9 reserves games this season. Why wasn't he a regular in the league side this season? Coming back from injury? Not playing that well/out of form?

Got suspended for a week and didn't get his spot back in the league side. Given he played most of the season back in the 2's he must have been close to being dropped anyway.

Ahk cheers Heater. That's disappointing especially after he made such a great transition to North from Port a few years back.

He missed much of 2015 with a leg injury and he never seemed 100% fit when he was playing seniors earlier this year. His kicking in particular seemed not up to standard. Also Jordie McKenzie and Tom Schwarz have come into the side and play a similar role to Jay. Having said that if he can regain full fitness he still certainly has something to offer North.
