Did not see it, have heard a bit about it though from a few of our boys who went along. A bit of social media flying about as well. Did not sound great
Bostons by 22 points at Poole today, & for the 2nd week in a row the ambulance was called. This time it raced up the road & into the oval with sirens blaring, unlike last week. I think it was a south lad who went off, it was really eerie just like last week. Waybacks were 16 - 6 to Mallees 3 - 6 half way thru the 3rd term, & Tasmans by about 40 points at Wangary. Bostons may find themselves in 4th spot after the 1st round of matches....good luck to them & their faithful band of supporters.
Well done to the Dees! From what I've read & the scores I've seen (from afar), that's a massive get. Looks like quite an interesting season unfolding. But as per usual, PLFL never really takes shape 'til a lot later in the season...but you take the wins whenever they come!
How are teams shaping up for this weekends Mortlock Shield? Would it be a fair assumption to say GFFL will go into the comp as red hot favourites? (assuming they have a full squad to pick from) Are there any significant players unavailable through injuries or various other reasons?

Will probably be out of GF, LC & LD. Lincoln Districts will be the big improvers with all three clubs having some gun players now.
Comes down to the draw more than anything, which I haven't seen. Who ever gets the easiest first up out of the above three will probably win on %
Hi, My name is Ron 'Bluey' Dunn. Did you know I played in the 61 & 62 Tasman Premiership sides....
Pretty much expected results in the footy today, except rangers getting over waybacks, who purchased a much needed win. Tasmans comfortably over souths, and mallee more than doubling the tigers score!

Bostons were up at 3/4 time when they played Waybacks, lost by 20. Just shows how close the comp is and anyone can win on the day.
that doesn't get you the points tho
Guess what I was trying to say was if they can, we can. Waybacks done well to date, but I don't think they are the ones to beat, I'd have Mallee's and Tasmans ahead when the whips are cracking later...
