Today, each team that went through did so from ladder position 3 or 4 having had a week off.
JC & SC Mallala B grade United A grade TW
I was one to think it wouldn't make much difference, but looking at the results......
read history, this format has been around since jesus played A grade, what about some credit for the winners, again simple win 2nd semi!!

Ease up champ, it's just an interesting occurrence FFS.

I felt sorry for players like Ashley Natt and others with what transpired in the last quarter today. Game was done and dusted yet Some of the Hamley players decided to go the biff, what was the point of that? Just made the club look ordinary. Accept the loss graciously FFS.

Correct me if I'm wrong but how often in the past 5 years has 2nd and 1st played off in a grand final. I know two wells and Virginia played last year that was 2nd vs 3rd I think..
Two wells were really good yesterday. They well full of run all day. Hamley looked flat. My tip for gf is Mallala. Been the best side all year . Let's just hope the umpires don't ruin the game . Hope fully dougy umpires alongside another senior umpire. And not have kids umpiring a grade footy especially when they have never played footy them selves. Good luck to both teams . BOg for me Jason earl

So you can't account for a coincidence every now and then? If your analysis is correct every team who went straight through 'should' win.. We shall see.

Really disappointing end to the season. Out coached and out played from start to finish. The club and the current playing group have done a great job to turn the club around in 2 years and to come from wooden spooners to playing finals is a great effort. It's unfortunate the way they lost but hopefully the club and players can learn from this loss. If Two Wells play like they did yesterday they should be Mallala next week. TW by 24pts

And Hahndorf. I've heard there is also a digital scoreboard at Cambrai but haven't seen it personally.
The money men at United are pretty smart people, I'm sure they've done the sums and are confident it will increase the cash flow into the club in the long term. My initial reaction to it was that it seemed excessive given the amount of times it will be used each year. I must admit, I have no idea of what it costs, its capabilities in terms of advertising or how often it will be used. The facilities under the tower are arguably the best in the comp, so I think I'll crawl back into my hole now.
Good call swamp , just make sure you dig it deep enough. Maybe a rush of blood to have a crack at the old foe again whenever you get a chance ole mate. I must admit when i rocked up at the club a fortnight ago i had a giggle about it but i guess it will add to the atmosphere on the big day . Maybe when you have a trot down the ground coming off half back to slot one through we can put your mug up on screen up in stars. Maybe send a selfie to the club and we can arrange it . If we spent the money on a chf or a couple of mids you would of been all over that as well , can't win i guess. From what i hear the west coast barossa Magpies are forking out a pretty penny for players this year.

You guys really love that scoreboard don't you Like I said, it depends on what your priorities are You can have your flash scoreboard and I am a content with the investment our club, and most other strong clubs, make each year in one or two premium top up players. After all there is a limit to the number of imports each club can have so why not fill it with the best players and people you can afford? I'm no financial expert, but I think you may find that sustaining a reasonable level of success over a long period and having a strong development program would be more attractive to potential sponsors than paying for an electronic sign that is visible for 8-9 days per year. Just my personal opinion of course and I may be totally off the mark.
Hear that the ABC grandstand broadcast has choosen the APFL grandfinal as there country broadcast this week, they did the hills grandfinal last Saturday interviewing players/coaches before hand,be good to showcase the league, hope they don't let the APFL president near the mic,the hills president went on and on and on

There aren't any Saturday games, so that in itself is puzzling.
