For the record, GolfShot (which I love) has my handicap at 19.6
But - that's flawed - lots of the rounds are at Penfield haha

I'm playing in a blustery Sturt FC Golf Day at Balaklava tomorrow too. I expect it to be blustery anyway.

Moe IN. Handicap 24 (Should be double).
Just for the record, I do work at a golf club, so I could help in some small way. That is if you dont mind being based at the Pat, which isn't as ritzy as some "other" establishments.

What sort do you have? Also what Loft is it?

I have an R11 and have changed the face position to try and correct my slice.

I have a Nike VRS 9.5 degree with a Fubuki stiff shaft

Correction: Had.

Snapped the head off at the Sturt Golf Day on Friday. First hole. Ouch.

Should be able to get a replacement shaft?

Yeah, I've never done this before, so what happens? You take your club to a certain shop or something? Should I be asking for warranty etc? Only had my driver two months or so.

Where did you buy it?

provided you can remove the broken shaft from the driver head you should be able to purchase a new one and then it would be as good as new.

I'm always skeptical of clubs breaking when relatively new as it is usually the first sign of a non genuine product.

Been playing golf on and off for 15 years now and never have I broken a club that wasn't a 1000 years old and rusted....

I have done a little bit of research into this. My understanding to form a club with affliation to Golf Australia for handicapping we need a minimum 20 members and form a management committee.

Personally I think we are better off joining that Crown Larger Social club (for those that don't have a private club) then meet up for regular rounds at say Adelaide Shores for example.

yeah start with them. They may just replace no questions asked or send it back to Nike for an investigation as to why it broke.

about a year back i had a similar thing happen to my driver, i took it back to Drummond Golf (where i bought it from) they sent it away, gave me a demo to use while it was being inspected and got it back with a new shaft in it, i get the feeling there was a fault in the shaft because when i got it back the ball felt alot better coming off the club. if you have a receipt it would be ideal, i didnt but Drummond had record of the sale on the computer. definatly go back to Golf world and explain what happened and im sure they will send it away to Nike

You should march in there and just ask for a replacement straight up. If they want to BS about sending it off for repairs then suggest they offer you a loan driver, they have got 30-plus hanging around that shop. Anyway OnSong it sure says something about that club head speed I was talking about huh?

Thanks for that.

I don't have the receipt but I did sign up as a Golf World member on the day, so the transaction record should be easy enough to find.

I have been belting pills with it but I haven't been taking ground with it or throwing the damn thing. It didn't break from misuse is what I'm trying to say.

Yeah fair enough. I've never heard of head/shaft separation before but I don't doubt it can happen just through normal use.
