There's lots of smoke on Black Hill near the Gorge, so I call the CFS to check whether it's a burn off or the real thing.

The fella answers ...

Yeah, don't worry, it's not a fire, just a burn off. All under control ... I hope!

I felt so reassured considering I'm only a few hundred metres away. :lol:

A burn off got out of control near my place in August, albeit a few km away, so major worries.
A few hundred metres, yeah I'd be fairly concerned by that
