Strange that Chicago looked the more disjointed team seeing as they basically brought back the same side as last year. They will need Hamilton to step up to get past Miami. Far too early to write him off but will be interesting to see how much he has left in the tank.

I don't think thety were the better team. If the Bulls didn't miss all those shots in the 3rd quarter they would of blown out the Lakers. Chicago made the game closer then what it should of been. Great defence from the BUlls caused the Lakers so many turnovers. While I'm on defence. If your still on here Gramahl. The commentators mentioned on numerous occasions that the Bulls were the best defensive team last season do you need any more proof of how right I was? 8)

You fall asleep during the conference finals? You were proven wrong and I was proven right. Miami's defense when needed was better. Which was my whole point all last season, that the bulls, when they really needed to shut down a team, would struggle. In 4/5 games, Chicago couldn't keep Miami to under 20 points in the 4th with all those games well and truly alive. They even conceded 16 in OT in game 4. On the other hand, Miami kept Chicago to under 20 in 3 games. Over the whole series, in the 4th and OT, Miami won by 21 points based largely on keeping the bulls down when the game really mattered.

SO yet again you point to 5 games. The stat isn't for best defensive record in Eastern conference finals  I spose listening to you over NBA experts is the way to go coz you still have no idea.

Knicks put up back to back shockers.
Never in the game against Lakers, have looked very ordinary so far, hope its just a slow start.

Rose beat him last year hopefully he can beat him again today!

Knicks go down to the Raptors.
Poor effort especially when you win 3 quarters by a combined margin of 13.
11 points in a poor 2nd quarter, too much being left for too few.

Looks like he said/she said

The Sacramento Kings on Sunday said that DeMarcus Cousins had requested a trade and excused him from the team's game against the New Orleans Hornets.

On Monday, Cousins refuted that claim.

"I want to address my missing the New Orleans game Sunday," Cousins said. "I have not demanded or requested a trade. I don't agree with the actions taken but will give my sincere effort to put it behind me and compete the best I can for my team."

Kings coach Paul Westphal released a statement before Sacramento hosted the Hornets on Sunday, criticizing Cousins' commitment to the franchise and excusing him from the team's game. He also confirmed that Cousins asked for a trade. The Kings had been expecting big things from Cousins this season.

BRODs Basketball Breakdown

- Amare Stoudemire sits second straight game with sore ankle
- Chauncy Billups has returned to practice
- Manu Ginobili is out indefinately with a broken hand
- There are no unbeaten teams with Miami and OKC both suffering their first losses of the season

- Steve Nash turns back time in 102-91 win against the Warriors with 21 points (9/13FG) and 9 ast
- Boston continue the Wizards misery with 100-92 win, inspite of JaVale McGees great game (17pts 8/9FG, 14 reb, 3 blocks) as Ray Allen shows he is still the best pure shooter in the NBA going 6/7 from downtown
- Ben Gordon gets 26 points for Pistons in win over the Howard led (as if there would be anyone else lead them  no wonder he wants out) Magic
- Are the Hawks going to be a surprise this season?..well they went to Miami and won 100-92 with balanced scoring and a great performance by 6th man Tracy McGrady (26 min, 16 points, 5/8 FG, 3/3 3ptFG, 7 reb, 4 ast)
- Another question...will LBJ have a bad game? In the Heat loss he still managed 26pts (11/18FG), 7 reb, 6 ast
- I wonder if Deron Williams would lead the league in assists if his team mates could shoot? another day, another Nets loss 94-108 to Indiana
- Hurry back Amare, Carmello thinks he need to have your shots as well (13/31FG in loss at home to Raptors)
- What happend to the Spurs D? The T'wolves shoot 58%FG, lead by guess who??
KLOVE Watch - 24pts (8/15 FG, 4/9 3ptFG), 15 reb, 3 steals, 2 blocks, 1 ast
- Dallas remembered they are the champs, not chumps in 100-87 win v OKC as Jason Kidd remembers he should pass not shoot (9 assists 0/1FG)
- Bucks manage just 12 points in the fourth to lose 91-86 in Denver
BOGUT Watch 12 pts (5/12FG), 7 reb, 4 ast, 3 blocks
- Jarrett Jack gets 27pts (11/17FG) with 11 assists for NO in loss to Jazz
