I'm not sure if it counts as a different guernsey but when Neil Kerley returned to Westies in 1981 he disposed of the Williams PA/Collingwood copy and reinstated the black with red sash. Due to a manufacturer's error the sash did not appear on the back. In 1983 the guernsey was back to how it should be red sash front & back.

Back on topic I like the new home guernsey I too believe it to be their best one yet with the one it replaces a close 2nd. Not sure about the away guernsey a bit too busy not convinced about hte blue v.

Good to see the green given more prominence and not forgetting the old Woodville supporters. This is a much better blend of the two former clubs and now represents the new modern club.

Except now the AFL owns your guernsey as your more Evil Big Brother (ie Port Power) has worn it (ie an earlier century version) in the AFL.

Remember, Bucky took your history & Premierships to the AFL, just ask M.Rucci, Chief Port Writer for the Advertiser. :P

Also, here I fixed your signature for you, no charge.

Port Adelaide (PAFC) 34 Premierships
Norwood 27 Premierships
Port Adelaide Magpies (PAMFC) 2 Premierships

Adelaide Crows 2 Premierships
Port Power 1 Premiership

Who are these North supporters you're referring to and do you have some examples of their posts?
I quite often hear about this mysterious group of North supporters but noone seems to be able to provide names or egs.
Cheers in advance.

The fact that you continually hear about them is a probable indication they exist. I don't wish to comment more on this except to say a number of supporters of other clubs have sent private messages to me from time to time commenting on this very matter. If you are being honest with yourself, you would know exactly who those people are.

As I support the notion that everyone is entitled the their opinion, be they right, wrong or indifferent, I really don't wish to make an issue of it.

If you didn't want to make an issue, why bring it up in the first place. "The fact you continually hear about them is a probable indication they exist". What kind of statement is that Adelaide Hawk? Quite frankly AH, North supporters are as passionate about their team as any other supporter and are quite rightly, proud of their heritage, and the progress the club has made. I personally don't apologise for barracking for the Roosters, and I certainly don't apologise for shouting from the roof tops that NAFC were Champions of Australia. Any other team in the SANFL would like to have the same boast.
I think as Wedgie quite rightly said, by all means show the posts.

So I guess what you're saying is that when Woodville and West Torrens merged, all supporters should have just left, and either supported another club or none at all?

Sometimes things are out of your control - and you have to take the good with the bad.

I have had NOTHING to do with the heritage of the West Torrens Football Club or the Woodville Football Club over the history of them both, just as YOU have had NOTHING to do with the heritage of the North Adelaide Football Club over it's historical years.

But apparently because you happen to be an NAFC supporter, and I happen to be a Woodville-West Torrens supporter, you're better than me.

At least, that's how you're coming across...

Not at all Dissident. And that not what I was saying either (although now you mention it :) Only joking)

Sure, the history WWT does not compare to the history of NAFC, and I was a supporter of NAFC when they won the C of A so why shouldn't I be proud of that.
I don't disagree totally with you when you say that I have nothig to do with the history of the club, but on that basis there are very few who can claim they have, (ex greats, financiers and Wedgie to name a few) As a paid up member of NAFC in a small way I and all fans who contribute financially to their club become part of the history, as without fans the clubs wouldn't exist in the first place, but read the post that actually started this thread mate.I didn't actually make the distinction between the Peckers and WT, but there is one thing for sure, if North ever amalgamated with Port,(Heaven forbid  ) there is no way I could stand there and chant Port, Port and I don't think there will be many other NAFC fans who could. IMHO

Rod Rooster, you may laugh but if you take a look around you, a number of people are stating they are growing tired of the arrogant nature certain Rooster supporters on this forum. They exist, and if I really wanted to start an argument about it, I would name them. People come on here to have open discussion about football, not to be continually denigrated and have their clubs defamed by certain people who support a club who haven't always been enjoying the good fortune they fo at present. You cannot pass honest comment on the North Adelaide club in this forum because of the siege mentality that exists.

Lochness Monster, Yeti, Bigfoot .. sounds like the Roosters forward line for 2006 :)

If you take a look at all discussion on this forum with an open mind you might in fact find a rather substantial number of posters who go out of their way to pass negative judgment on the NAFC. This happens regularly in topics that have nothing to do with the NAFC and the NAFC is brought up in these topics by non NAFC supporters. It's not all one way traffic and you will find that NAFC supporters have to put up with a lot of people defaming and denigrating our club.

You seem pretty keen to get your point across but you are yet to provide examples. I didn't wish to get involved in this and all i was doing was finding humour in one of your statements (normally you are able to have a laugh at yourself). Next time i'll make sure i don't attempt to find humour if you are involved in a thread.

PS - The Roosters forward line was pretty good in 2006 so i can only assume the Lochness Monster, the Yeti and Bigfoot were all handy players.

My Point about chanting Woodville was the whole (or most of the crowd) WWT Crowd were chanting WOODVILLE .The crowd were as one and by one I mean one club ,which in a way lead the Club into winning its second post merger flag.Sorry I can not remember which UNDER ACHIEVING SANFL club we flogged that day could have been any number of clubs .

Well and what was I as an adult fooball fan supposed to do after 1991 my team merged . A big part of my football life changed forever and it changed for the better .

Hopefully that makes sense if not stiff shit !!

The new home guernsey is quite good but the away or clash guernsey could be better. Still an improvement on the all yellow strip though. As long as the WWTFC and it's members are happy with the guernseys then that is all that matters at the end of the day though.
