Love how Cornes fails to mention he was involved in instigating two incidents in 2 weeks!
Maybe Cornes is one of these ugly supporters that he is writing about?

"There is plenty of anecdotal evidence that one of the main reasons that crowds are down in Adelaide is that people refuse to put up with the language and behaviour of some elements of the crowd."
Take note Cornes, the plural of anecdote is not data.

Don't be sorry mate, not having a dig at you at all, it's a very relevant thread to have on here.
I think it started out initially in the 'Glenelg v North review thread' and then I saw the link you posted in the 'Things that make you laugh' thread.
All good mate, just pointing out the fact that it has gathered more attention since Graham's article on Saturday as well.
On ya Wedgie, look at all the stir you have caused

Re: Cornsey at his best?
I'd just like to point out that he said I was ugly metaphorically speaking while others are ugly physically also.
He's basically written an article about how I'm not physically ugly.
I must be physically good looking then and think that is the main point Graham is trying to get across.
I'd like to commend Mr Cornes on his well researched factual article, the man is a fine journalist!

i do believe u missed out this quote though wedgie
Then, maybe that obnoxious adult male, swaddled in his North Adelaide colours, won't feel like such a big hero in front of his mates.

I must admit, the word swaddled reminds me of a baby.
A mighty big baby.
Was Cornesy taking another shot there, Wedgie?

Re: Cornsey at his best?
Not sure but I'm pretty sure Moses was when he was found in the bullrushes.
All hail Wedgie, parting the waters to bring North Adelaide supporters to the promised land.
I can imagine him being chased by tattoed men and Cornesy as he crosses the River Torrens.
The waters part, the Roosters supporters cross and then the waters close again drowning Cornesy and his Tigger mates.

My personal favourite was
'Nor was the abuse that he was hurling at the young Glenelg footballer, who had just broken his leg in front of us, the worst that I've heard at a footy ground.'

Just make sure the topless bird is no-where to be seen then !!!
And Cornes' saying the young Bay player 'broke his leg' is a slight exaggeration. Yes, it was a bad fractured ankle, but he makes it sound worse than what it was saying that.

Whether it is a broken ankle or broken leg - it is a break.
Can't believe you blokes
A kid is going to miss 12-13 wks of footy - has anyone got the gist of why it was inappropriate to make fun a player under the care of a Trainer and stretchered off yet?
BTW - The bolded quote says it was NOT the worst comment he had heard at a footy ground...
Pfft - can't be bothered with this anymore.

Re: Cornsey at his best?
Point is it wasn't the worst broken ankle in the history of the game, as Cornsey says. 12 weeks is not the end of his career. Damon White's broken ankle in 2002 was the worst I've seen. That was 12 months. As has been said previously, it was a flippant remark. No one knew it was any more serious than a winded player. Maybe if Wedgie had been sitting closer to Cornsey's minions, he could have seen it was more serious. The funny thing is, no one would have the right to ban Wedgie from SANFL games as what was said was not offensive.

I agree wholeheartedly 85,these blokes are kidding themselves arent they.
Injured player = no go zone.
Also not one of them has put themselves in a fathers position, seeing his lad badly injured and being made fun of.
Dont need that sort of supporter at the footy!!!
