Yeah, apparently it was a promotional cardboard cutout of Ted Danson.
Didn't stop the rumours though IIRC.
Back in '84 there was a crazy rumour that Emmanuel Lewis, pint-sized star of Webster, broke his neck in a breakdancing accident while spinning on his head.
That one went the world over in no time - without the internet!
Reakon this dancing was more dangerous...

Talking of "rumours" and urban myths, i can recall there was some type of story that Marilyn Manson played Paul Pfeiffer in "The Wonder Years".

I loved the Gold shorts. Would like the Bays to wear those, along with the '34 jumper & gold socks with a black band...
The joy of being on the hill drinking beer cannot be understated

Which reminds me of references to "Green Death" - Southwark - is that beer still produced? I never drank it myself but I can recall my dad speaking about it and what a horrible beer it was.

During the week I was watching that show Gillian Armstrong produced about the three girls from Adelaide. It followed their lives from 1976 to the present (with various intervals). The footage from 1976 showed one of their dads at the kitchen table with a bottle of green death. My wife pissed herself when I called it green death. Being a Perth girl she'd never heard that expression.

I never thought there was anything wrong with "green death" certainly no worse than VB (vile beer)
I think there was a Southwark Gold as well that sold for a short time. Who made Big Barrell Lager?
