Fair dinkum that is dead set rubbish. You're assuming here that all clubs have the same requirements for a coach for a start and that's a mighty big assumption. It might have the same job title but the requirements for each club would be completely different. Another assumption is that people 'aren't up to the job' just because they didn't get a gig. There are a lot more people trying to get the job than there are jobs available.
I reckon you're selling Scott short. At least give him the six games that Don Scott got ha ha.![]()

So why is it when a postition is made available that the same names come up for every club?
Runna is right, the list of genuine candidates was on a platter in front of the Cats.
Mind you, now is not the time to be critical of any of the new ( Primus, Hird, C.Scott, McKenna ) coaches and their ability.
Runna is not right, other clubs did not 'shortlist the candidates for Geelong' how in the **** could they? As for 'presented' genuine candidates the sporting media of Melbourne are hardly an imaginative lot. As for Runna's comments about how fast the process happened I don't think Geelong could have gone on without a coach for too long...we've got a list to rebuild.
In answer to your other question Runna I'm not sure who else the Catters might have talked to because I couldn't be arsed doing the research. I'm not that worried about what Sando does but I have heard that he and Scott have worked well together in the past so perhaps they can again.
