Disgraceful by the SACA IMO.

Bollocks. What player have you been watching the last three or four seasons because that was about when Blewett's feet stopped moving. I watches some Ashes highlights the other night and Blewett at his best was a senstational player. A fantastic driver of the ball with a long reach, driving off that bended knee. With the pull shot he was as lethal as Ricky Ponting and that is saying something. However, in recent years those big shots just haven't been happening for Greg. In my view his feet just weren't moving enough for him to replicate what he used to be able to achieve at the crease.

Even bunnies like me who are C grade cricketers at best (when they've got about three short) know that footwork is one of the key components of Batsmanship. No feet movement equates to a real struggle in the middle and that is what has happened to Blewett in recent seasons. I would be appalled if Blewett were to take the place of a young NSW player for the Blues.

Why give him a contract in the first place then? Two weeks before Christmas and you've just told one of the best batsman South Australia has produced you don't want him regardless of his form for the rest of the season. He has not even been given a chance in the Pura Cup this year and was one of the best in the one day comp last year when SA made the final. Poor form both in respect to a great SA player and for the benefit of the team.

PS. I'm not calling for his place in the team straight away, just to be kept in the loop in case some of our batsman suffer poor form ... oh, wait a minute...

Does anyone know what has happened to Shaun Tait??

cricket.com.au scores say that he has bowled 4.1 overs, and Cosgrove 0.5, which obviously means Cosgrove finished it off...

Indeed Aerie. I wouldn't have if it was my decision. As for not having a chance I reckon his demotion is years overdue. He WAS a great player for SA but for the last few seasons this description is not quite on the money. Like I said, wouldn't want him in Blue.

QLD 268/7

Not a bad effort by SA in the end considering the circumstances (QLD were flying, wickets in hand etc, no Tait after 4.1 overs)

Cullen obviosuly the pick but a really good 4 overs at the death by Cosgrove. Could easily have been 285+

268 is very gettable.

ELLIOTT and BOOF at the crease.

ELLIOTT is 70 at the moment, boof on 11.

at least with Boof at the crease we can get the runs.

107 runs from 16 overs

Looked to be heading to another disappointing loss...then BANG!

As Borgas was the hero in the 1st match, Harris now is one in this match.

What a finish!!!!
Had fun flicking between the Sixers and the 'Backs

Thought Boof and Elliot dad a tremendous job in getting us into a winning position after a "sluggish" start.

Well done R Harris!

Gid Gid Gid Gidee UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   8)

Never in doubt off the bat, it was always going over the fence!!!!

Should have never been in that position though.....afraid it might cover a few of the deficiencies again, when oh when is a young fella going to make some runs?

Boof and Elliott were great, surely the young lads have got to learn from the way they go about it...

Great win! Cricket at Adelaide Oval on a warm summers night is one of the best ways to pass the time away. Innings was set up by Elliott, Dan Harris and a brilliant innings by Boof. Elliott just cruised through effortlessly to 100 off 114 balls. Harris looks to have the temperament that could see him consolidate his position in the team in both forms of the game. Lehmann guided the Redbacks to a very strong position. Then the customary collapse and just when all seemed lost Ryan Harris became the hero.

It was strange that Maher bowled the spinner for the last over. Thought he may have bowled Brant. I assume Hopes was named man of the match. He's another who might have high hopes for a tour to the Caribbean next year. The atmosphere was great as many came to the ground for the night session. Bottom beats top and the season is still alive!

He went for 72 from 10 overs. If he didn't smack the 6 he would've been the reason we lost.
