Disgraceful by the SACA IMO.
Bollocks. What player have you been watching the last three or four seasons because that was about when Blewett's feet stopped moving. I watches some Ashes highlights the other night and Blewett at his best was a senstational player. A fantastic driver of the ball with a long reach, driving off that bended knee. With the pull shot he was as lethal as Ricky Ponting and that is saying something. However, in recent years those big shots just haven't been happening for Greg. In my view his feet just weren't moving enough for him to replicate what he used to be able to achieve at the crease.
Even bunnies like me who are C grade cricketers at best (when they've got about three short) know that footwork is one of the key components of Batsmanship. No feet movement equates to a real struggle in the middle and that is what has happened to Blewett in recent seasons. I would be appalled if Blewett were to take the place of a young NSW player for the Blues.

Why give him a contract in the first place then? Two weeks before Christmas and you've just told one of the best batsman South Australia has produced you don't want him regardless of his form for the rest of the season. He has not even been given a chance in the Pura Cup this year and was one of the best in the one day comp last year when SA made the final. Poor form both in respect to a great SA player and for the benefit of the team.
PS. I'm not calling for his place in the team straight away, just to be kept in the loop in case some of our batsman suffer poor form ... oh, wait a minute...
