Oval was terrible, we will pay the price tomorrow no doubt, plenty of ice!

Just thought id pay a mention to Scotty Mac today, the fella had a sore gut
during the prematch huddle and was on all fours throwing up and still come
out and kicked 11! Not a bad effort

Believe that will be a part of the pre game routine at brahma this week. I would happily chuck my guts up week in week out if i could kick 11 goals.

very well played by BL today. too good in both grades.

terrible oval  its not the best but its not the worst, its what we've got, you wont need to play there again this year.
you blokes complained about alot today in both games.

a grade umpiring, while having no bearing on the final result, was some of the worst seen this year and in others. inconsistent and incorrect on far too many occasions. one against a BL player for a bump when one of our blokes shot for goal in the last quarter was just laughable and summed up the day

We know the oval isnt your fault but it is shocking...im surprised that they allow games of football to be played there. There is a nice tree root growing breaking the surface of the ground in one of the pockets for crying out loud not to mention the fact that it doesnt appear the ground has been watered since 1983....it seemed like cement with patchy grass on top.

At the end of the day winners are grinners and there will be alot of icing required tomorrow i think!!!

Agreed average ground, but nothing the blacks can do about it. Very similar to Eastern parks oval...in size and at times in grass coverage!!!

Our umpire pulled out a cracker today, when he gave BF a 25m penalty which turned out to be about 45 metres, we protested about the length of the penalty to which he replied that it depends on the severity of the offence, he will give what he wants. Now I thought a 25 metre penalty was exactly 25 metres, not whatever the umpire feels.

Good game in the B's today, BF's gave a good show in the 3rd and start of last before we kicked away. We couldn't really get going on the small ground, found it hard to move the ball and set up a structure to work the ground. Big fella in the ruck for BF was very good, as was the captain Murph??? Good luck for the rest of the year and look forward to the return leg.

if its not the worst oval its pretty close its a sh@t hole simple as that.change rooms really good, food good, canteen staff good, but no footy should be played on that ground and no fault of your f.c sprint, and to think that saafl officials went down during the week and inspected it and give it the ok well that says it all. umpiring wasnt great agreed there mate we had one of those academy umpires and imo he was actually the better umpire out of the 2, but yeah some very silly decisions both ways i just wish they would let they game flow, and stop paying little ticky tacky free kicks.

the head honcho was actually down there at half time and out in the middle with the umpires....hopefully he can see that and put some pressure on the council to bring the oval upto standard

you guys criticise blacks oval but i would rather play there than at havens anyday. change rooms are a disgrace full of junk.1 light globe working out of 4,(sitting in a dark dungeon whilst changing) showers and toilet were the best part of visitors rooms. oval barely grassed potholes everywhere, in fact warm up area was better than oval.port adelaide/enfield council needs to have a good hard look at itself when you compare (greenacres/gepps cross surfaces) to nth havens and put some effort into getting it up to scratch before someone is seriously hurt there. pretty hard for opposition players to get motivated to play there.hopefully will not have to go back there!!! by the way the clubrooms, bar and canteen facilities were excellent

Good win by plympton, pretty average the 1st 3 quarters... then turned it up in the last to come from behind... Awesome scenes at the kennel. boys dug deep in the 4th.. what the club needed after some ordinary reslut ove the last couple of week... Really looking forward to next weeks challenge...
