As for NHCC II we're waiting on the belair result to know... we're 2nd, could slide to 3rd

Keswick.
Very good bowling line-up who can restrict sides to small totals and is unlikely to have a 250+ score hit against it.
Will rely on McKay and R Curyer to get them a big total but have enough batting to get a 200+ score without a huge contribution from those two. Face a tough task with the inform Coromandel in the semis this week.
Have lost to WYC and Glenelg and only narrowly beat Coromandel. They have the confidence of knowing their best is good enough to beat everyone.
WYC
Bowling is our weakness but something Hopkins can single handedly change as he did in last years GF. Other bowlers are wicket takers but we lack consistency from them. Capable of bowling sides out cheaply but also can concede a 250+ score.
Batting is our strength but it isn't as strong as we would have liked with Luders unavailable due to surgery on his hip. Confident we can chase down scores of 250. Jake Whenan and Richard Press are vitally important to our fortunes.
We have beaten 2 of the top 4 sides and got belted outright by the other. Confident we can turn around our poor finals record against the bays.
Glenelg ANA
Bowling is very good. O'Malley and Rowe are very clever bowlers and have good back up from Goodrich, Zuvela and Jacomas. Are more than capable of skittling any batting line-up for 150.
Batting is strong at the top of the order but early wickets will really have the bays in trouble. That being said if Basso and Rowe get set then there is a fair chance you will be chasing a large total against a good attack.
Has beaten two of the 3 top 4 sides so will be confident they can get the job done.
Coromandel
The bolter of season 09/10. Bowling is their obvious strength with three quality quicks who seem to have all got their acts together since christmas. Lourens is their key bowler.
Batting isn't superb and if Cheek and Koirala go cheaply they are unlikely to make a big total. Cheek is the key with the bat.
Will be super confident having beaten 1 top 4 side outright and having very narrow losses to the other two.
My tips for the first week of finals are Keswick and WYC in two very close matches. I wouldn't think the gap in either game would be greater than 30 runs or 2 wickets.
Good luck to everyone competing and good luck to all the other grades in their finals.

It was also the last section 1 game for Darren Williams and Poul Peterson who both have decided to retire from the a's. Club legends who have given 20+ years service to the association including a number of association games thru the 90's. They will still play on next season but will be looking to play c's or maybe b's.

Does not suprise me in the slightest that there is bad feeling between us & South Road. We have a few blokes who are never short of a comment & South Road have given us plenty of ammo over the past couple of seasons with their arrogant & elitest attitude towards us.
Maybe they can take down the "Back to Back" A grade flags sign from their training nets now!
